  • Can you give me the specs measure set up for 4 string bass particularly for a Fender 64 jazz bass custom shop?

  • ponies are awesome

  • Great video, nice one!

    Stick

  • Nice video. Where did you get the depth gauge?

  • @squireman72 Pardon what do you eman by depth gauge?

  • @FruduaTv

I think he's talking about the device at 2.25 it looks like a ruler but i can't see very well and I can't see how you are reading those values.

Oh and inches or mm. I am from the USA so I am used to 32nd and 64th

  • @killaken2000 Yes this is a caliper.

  • @FruduaTv ^ He is asking which measurement system you are using. Are you using metric? Are those measurements in meters?

  • @squireman72 You can find "digital calipers" at Lowes for $30 US.

  • @squireman72 google "feeler guage"

  • Thanks so much for making these videos! I found them fascinating! I will show this to my bass technician so that maybe he can help me give some life to my dead B! (And to the other strings, too!)

I will also share this video with my bassist friends!!! Saluti da Malta! :D

  • @Spirituality1980 Oh and one question, please. Does the same principle apply to guitars, too?

  • @Spirituality1980 Which part you mean?

  • @FruduaTv Sorry. I mean the straight (not twisted) string principle and the height of the strings. By the way, sorry if this is a stupid question but the motion of the string is sideways not up and down, no? So still it's important that the string has enough space to move up and down as you show.

  • @Spirituality1980 Yes this is valid for guitars too especially the ones equipped with a Floyd Rose tremolo where the strings ends are blocked. The strings vibration pattern is actually a circle in the sense oyu mean it.

  • @FruduaTv Thanks again for the reply and information! Yes, I thought it was a circular pattern. :) I will share these videos with my friends!

  • @Spirituality1980 Thanks!

  • @Spirituality1980 Thanks Spirit!

  • @Spirituality1980 Thanks!

  • Quick question? Is it a 34 or a 35 scale? Cheers!

  • @Zouf89 We have both scales thanks fruduadirectdealdomcom

  • When will you show us how to get rid of dead spots on a bass neck?

I'm sitting on pins here and waiting!

    Regards Kb

  • hello Galeazzo, how much relief on your basses?

  • @MrAletube it depends on the customer needs. Check out my last video on truss rod adjustment in this same channel.

  • my style in Brazil and country music and music of the country, and internationally, the Brazilian representative I spoke with told me that he will be available with only an arm ROSEWOOD in March. difference has a 34 "to 35" inch in arm? I am awaiting the answer. thanks ...

  • @fransleyjose1 The GFJ is available in whatever choice of fretboard you like.

  • hi all well, and Fransley My name, I am Brazilian, I wonder if the arm of the instrument in ROSEWOOD has a nice sound for slap, no video with application of slap bass with his arm ROSEWOOD, I have Contact depicting Brazilian who lives in Rome Italy, want to buy a 5 string bass, so I decided not to color, I really liked the color white, has a danger of yellowing over time, "but also liked the FRUDUA GFJ 3 TONE SUNBURST -5 BASS WITH ROSEWOOD fretboard, very nice look, very nice sound.

  • @fransleyjose1 The rosewood tone ia a bit warmer and rounder on the high end. The Maple has a slightly sharper attach which some like more.

  • Thanks for posting! Both this and the previous video were very helpful.

  • Very Helpful! thanks for sharing this.

  • Complimenti ! Argomento interessante. Lo puoi far anche in Italiano?

  • @difiancu Non ho un gran tempo purtroppo.

  • @FruduaTv Peccato.

  • @FruduaTv Hi,

I have an American Std JB and it sounds way too vintage for me, the highs are really muddy. I'm trying to get a more modern sound such as Marcus Miller's sound. Some guys told me that I need to get a 70's pickup spaced jazz bass and install a preamp on it, but I don't wanna get rid of my Jazz since it is my first bass. Also, I have 75 Reissue pickups on it. I was told that a preamp would make my bass sound a little more modern but what I really need is a 70's jazz.

    Can you help me?

  • @RLHubner >> Pickup placement on your bass is ok to achieve a great slap tone. The 70ies spacing will give to you a little percentage of extra highs which alone will not take you where you want. Check the slap sound on fruduabassamplification>>dot>>com and let me know if this is what you're searching for.

  • @FruduaTv Yesss!! That's exactly the sound I'm looking for, this is the video I checked out: youtube(dot)com/watch?v=8Zj3XBxPBTE .

Grazie per l'aiuto mio amico. :)

  • @RLHubner Ok this is 60ies spacing. You can get some thing similar following Dave's instructions on the video. What he's basicaly ding is using my amp scooping the mids a bit and enhancing the bass and superhights a bit.

  • @FruduaTv Well, then I think I'm gonna have to get one for amps ;). I have a GK amp, and I tried everything but I still can't get those sizzling highs.

  • @RLHubner *get one of your amps.

  • Great videos!! I can't wait to check the B on my 6 string bass for these problems. I love the strat tremolo and string winding videos as well. Great info!! thanks for posting these I and look forward to seeing more from you.

  • Bella Buzzzzzzz, bel video!

  • Another great video! Your instruments look fantastic, I would love to play one one day. Being in Australia may make that difficult though.

Keep up the great and informative video posts!
