  • @erikstrieter its alot easier, safer,  and less hassle just to remove the bed. only 8 bolts. the filler neck has a check ball in it, so you might as well forget the idea of shoving a siphon hose in the tank because it will never reach.

  • It wouldnt matter really if the wires are exposed or not i dont think...I mean water off the roads gets kicked up on them...anyways i have 3 of these trucks and they are awsome

  • dont forget the two cables underneath the front of the bed thats bolted to the bed in the middle.

  • Yank it ! The wires get wet when you drive in rain anyway , Make sure you disconnect battery when you remove pump and use a ESD strap (electro static discharge ) because of risk of ......

  • Great, now the next step is to get it off.

    Did the towing company do damage to the front corner on the driver's side?

  • Bed is already removed. The corner has been squashed since i owned it.

  • is it not just as much work to get the bed off instead of dropping the tank

  • Good thing it was not a SUV. You will have to drop the tank.
