  • Secure SSH Tunnel & SOCKS Proxy server industry is about to explode.

  • email or call vic toews directly, victoews.ca has the #s and tell him what you think of him...i personally said that since he called me, and every other canadian who is against this bill, a person who is walking hand in hand with child pornographers that i think he is a diddler and that is the real reason why he wants the bills put through...to help himself not look at kiddy porn when he's not sucking harpers dick...he wants to fight dirty and call us names, i can do the damn same!!!!

  • I want to meet this woman and thank her for speaking so beautifully and honestly. The message is clear and rational, unlike the asshats who run the country. I would vote for HER to be my Prime Minister.

  • (un)lawful access

    vimeo. com/29335041

  • This project is a response to the serious threats to privacy, free speech and civil liberties raised by proposed lawful access legislation. To understand what is at stake in this invasive and costly bill, Canada's leading privacy and surveillance experts offer their anaylsis in the hopes of stirring debate on these critical issues.

  • Plans to introduce Bill C-51 on Monday Feb 13, 2012 that will allow Police to spy on ALL Canadians with no warrants. Search "Stop Spying Online" Sign the petition, contact your MLA. This dictatorship needs a tuneup.

  • She's absolutely right. The concept that a threat exists in the public is ludicrous. Crime rates continue on their decades long trend of decline. The majority of crimes that hurt the people of Canada are caused by the corruption of government and police agencies. Whey, then, should we even permit a discussion of government writing laws to give sweeping powers to police?! They are creating a problem - and our biggest fear is that they are indeed not morons and know this precisely. Terrifying.

  • The goverment gang wants to spy on us when I touch myself or doing private and itimate stuff ; PLUS SOON THEY ARE GOING TO CHIP US LIKE COWS TO SEE WHAT WE DO ALL DAY IN OUR BEDROOMS !!!!

  • It seems like I can't get a break for a single day. First comes SOPA, PIPA, ACTA, C*, and whatever's next. They'll just keep trying to repackage it. I can't believe these guys got elected in.

  • The guy in the suit is using loaded words. I'm disappointed that the minister didn't jump down his throat for it. 1. We're not CONSUMERS, we're PEOPLE. 2. this is not an "Obviously broad libertarian principle" 3. Under this new law, this would not be the "abuse of this kind of information", it would be the new normal, lawful, silent and commonplace access to everything.

  • im sure Harpers gang is already spying ,they just want to make it a legal thing. It isnt normal, its criminal.I cant help but question the true motives of our so called Govt.I suspect they are at least 50 times more corrupt than anyones wildest guess !They must fear the people if they want so much intrusion to be a fact of life for everyone..

  • screw google use StartPage and ixquick they don't track your info or id

  • jfaerr: another good point. for those of us that have half a working knowledge. we can hide these things. But the ordinary, every day Joe who doesn't know that he should password protect his wireless is in very serious danger from a hundred different directions. suddenly, a suspicious $80 overuse charge is no longer his greatest concern. There should be no support for this bill as long as it allows police to sidestep the courts. There is zero reason for it.

  • Keep in mind that one of the most horrible things about this new law (in it's first reading) was that the ISP's could have a gag order put on the request for access. An employer could ask corrupt police officer to obtain info on a person (which would be illegal even within this bill) and you could loose the job because of what your kids or neighbor has been doing with your IP address. But the cop labels the request as non-disclosable and he is immune. You can't find out if your info was accessed

  • for those interested in anonymity, I suggest you google the "TOR Project". Tor is an open source program that protects you by bouncing your communications around a distributed network of relays run by volunteers all around the world.

  • @jfaerr don't use google use Statpage of ixquick as good but no data tracking

  • Say goodbye to privacy and freedom. Our country will not have that anymore.

  • Guys share this video don't keep quiet.

  • I came to Canada because of the Charter of Rights and Freedoms.

I have a RIGHT to privacy.

The Harper government and his Neocon friends will keep pushing and pushing to turn the Canadian Government into the Rulers of the people, not the Servants of the people.

  • Contact Harper : pm@pm.gc.ca

Why have a Privacy Act if it can all disappear ? Harper and his goons can keep their nose out of my business .

  • Everyone PLEASE contact your MPs and tell them you will not stand by while they turn Canada into something other than Canada.

    This bill is DANGEROUS.

The OpenMedia stopspying.ca site sums the (un)lawful access bill perfectly + has links to talking points you can use to discuss the issue with others + write more effective letters to your MP and newspapers.

  • I'm not scared of terrorism. I'm scared of crossing the road without looking both ways. I'm scared of driving without a seatbelt. I'm scared of diabetes and heart disease. I'm scared of THINGS THAT ACTUALLY KILL CANADIANS. What I should be scared of is government power over my life. I do not want Canada to become East Germany 1945-1989. I do not want to be monitored, observed, and controlled. I want freedom. Freedom to say whatever I want, read whatever I want, and be whoever I want.

  • Great guest and even better argument!

  • I will dump my ISP in a minute if there is a viable alternative that will not infringe on my privacy.

  • Wow, privacy is not a Libertarian position and what these back door bills do is destroy privacy and enable corruption.

From things as small as personal vendettas, going up the scale to enabling stalking, to outright tyranny, there is a reason why certain principles are adhered to by a variety of political viewpoints.

  • I really don't want Stephen Harper's Goons (THUGS) eyes in my bedroom or any other part of my life. Thank-You Very Much !

  • @TheSilverWatch yes sir!
