@Siah2000 I used Hybrid made by Digidesign/Avid. You can pretty much make any decent RTAS/VST/AU synth sound guitar-esque with proper sound sculpting and fx chain. The rest is technique!

I really have to say that this is one of my favorite metal records ever.. i love all songs. my favorite is jekyll or hyde... i was already a fan of labrie but after this record i became a fan of marco and matt. is a record that has inluenced me a lot musically and in my guitar playing.. thanks for it matt

@dTATb It's a Rhodes 660 made by Roland. I was using it as a controller in the studio. This was actually the first keyboard I ever bought when I was 16 years old.

These guys probably got a lot of inspiration by Soilwork for this album, when I first heared it, I thought it was Soilwork with James LaBrie, I was like WUT?!!

But then I found out it wasn't Soilwork. Check out Soilwork - Stalemate, and then This is War - James Labrie, the main riff. Sounds a lot the same, but yeah who fucking cares, both awesome bands / projects.

I like James but am very disappointed that it wasn't him doing the screaming. I was psyched when I first heard the album and thought it WAS him. After seeing this video, I'm not exactly sure why this is a James LaBrie solo record - he didn't even do all the vocals! How much input did he actually have other than maybe writing lyrics and singing the melodies? You guys should just break away and do your own project as a metal band - would be insane instead of having to be under his name.

@judoka227 All you would have to do is open the booklet or read an interview to know that James and Matt co-write the songs. Matt, Marco, Ray, and Peter are all amazing musicians, and playing "under his name" gives them great exposure, therefore making it possible for more people to hear them.
