  • this is awesome! i wish my school would do this, these are such cool instruments and talented kids! i love how they each get their little individual solos, and then when they play together their diff. parts it teaches them teamwork, something my friends need to work on.

  • i go to Aveson and there not poor kids your just mad you cant play like they can they worked had for that and your just going to talk shit!! way to have a life!! jackasses!!

  • geez calm down kanyon lmao, man ur little but u can get so mad LOL

  • hahah i like the guiutar solo subs part

  • alot of the people on here seem to get burned up about all the wrong things. yes the blue man group does this as well, but mainly for experimental sound not because the creators are to poor to afford better. so what if they use similar methods at least they are working with what they have.

  • it's so nice to see those kids playing improvized instrument, devoting their time in group practice. i'd rather salute you guys compare to those kids wasting their time in nonsense thing. keep it up. post more of your piece.

  • this is really awesome but im gonna be a critic and say the yellow kid messed up his solo real bad.

  • Awesome idea, good job!!!!

  • This is what kids need to be doing! You guys are great!!!

  • this is awesome

  • EPIC win for this vid. awesome vid!!!!!

  • Hey, how to the notes play, Is it because of when they hit the flipflop onto the tube and it does something with the pressure, or do the vibrations affect it. Plus you guys are very talented, could you post a video of how to make one of those.....

  • Typical hater moron. The Blue man group did not invent this. They ripped the idea off from another. Get over it scrod; Solomon wrote that 'there is nothing new under the sun.'

  • Great music, great guys...I enjoyed you tremendously. Good luck!

  • You guys remind me of the Blue Man Group band.

    Great work

  • thats awesome (:

  • SON GENIALES

  • You are welcome.....i,ve watched it about 5 times already, makes me want to grab some flip flops on sticks and come and join in.....great fun hahahaha :)

  • You guys are excellent.....there is a saying "make love not war", it should have been written "make music not war"........and you kids are an inspiration, keep up the good work, you are putting lots of smiles on peoples faces, and i salute you :) Dave (UK)

    abraham

  • it would be hot if he made a beat 2 a song, like u hear on the radio or something

  • Great job! As a jazz musician, I can say that the 12 bar blues is what it's all about! Thanks for posting.

  • awesome creativity kids. Good job!!!! keep doing more. Highly cherished. Even our dog loved it!!!

  • It reminds me of the blue man group!

  • i'd love to see something like this in everyones back yard :)

  • WOW!! It's hard to believe that someone would feel a need to show their musical superiority with critical comments instead of celebrating this incredible idea to help young people listen to and express the music in their souls!

  • I love it, these kids are doing a great job, but mostly I think the kid to your left, on the front is really enjoying doing it and having a good time doing it too. BRAVO!

  • Well done that is a genius thing to do and especially really artistically creative for the kids.

  • These kids are having a great time and it shows! This is innovative and energetic! Kudos to you and the kids!

  • This is cool! We need to get these instruments (and these kids) into pop music, into movie scores, into symphonic orchestras, and into US high school music programs.

  • i wouldn't put anything with "US high school" in the same catagorie as symphonic orchestras.

  • US high schools need this. Music programs are moribund (except where they're already dead). Something needs to be done.

  • Have you been living under a rock?

  • Coś niesamowitego.heh:D COOL 10/10

  • I love the Kids Of Widley High!

  • If you knew one thing about the blues, its that you dont have to be limited to any one scale.

And besides, theres variations on the blues scale. True the 'standard' one is the minor one you described, but thers also major blues scale, and some altered versions. And a lot of people, even say if the background is in like a major blues type bassline/progression, u can solo minor blues over, or vice versa, or maybe even play like.. a dorian scale. just to spice things up

  • omg, they're playing 12 bar blues. 12 BAR, its a basic blues progression. Get your dorian MODE out of here and leave them alone. Its a MODE.

  • Lol. look, i love the vid, 5 starred it, im jus replying to the guy (bobsonny) who said that they arent playing the blues scale.

  • Sure sounds like blues to me. Music's all about creativity, who cares if its not the exact scale? Oh, and they're what, middle school students at most? Gosh, they're pretty good!

  • Dude, he didn't say it was the blues scale! He said 12-bar blues, which is a chord progression. But good for you that you know the notes of the blues scale.

  • That was in response to bobsonny.

  • You sir, win the internets =]

  • wow something like this accually exists? thats awesome! i think we have some potential future blue men on our hands here people :-) this is really cool

  • That's awesome. Great way to teach kids, as well.

  • Excellent! Very cool way to teach kids about music and team work etc.

  • Cool kids! Innovative instruments; sounds great and looks like their having a whole bunch of fun!! "Tonight Show" here we come!

  • Great Job!
