Rauschenberg is a genious. Hes the one that opened up the world of art to me. When I first saw his pieces I understood what art was and this was it. I cant put my finger on what makes it but its just brilliant.

Rauschenberg may now, by default, have his place in art history, but it is hard to make a case that he was a good or talented artist. He couldn't draw, and his screen prints are especially poor. Great artists imbue every line or stroke with meaning. RR just scribbled.
Talent is subjective. In fact, everything you have stated as fact in your comment is completely your own one-sided perspective of a multi-dimensional artist. Show me your Doctorate in art history, then we can talk art.
