he's the perfect combination of an artist with an athlete. he present elements with the elegant spirit of an artist, with caring for every single movement and with an original and personal style, and at the same time he has the fighting attitude of a competitive spirit. I miss him in competition :)
mOntrealmadness>> go fuck yourself because you dont know who you are referring too .Its just makes you look like a sad perverted sick individual that lashes out because they cant handle criticism or alternative opinions!
He is, without a doubt, the best artistic men's skater I have ever seen. I normally go for the "whole package" but his artistry is so incredible, as are his transitions and spins, that I would have to place that very, very high at the world level.
He's really good! I wish I had that artistry in my transitions! Really flexible, too bad men aren't allowed to preform spiral sequences in their long.
its kind of sad that men's skating focuses more on the jumps and athleticism rather than the flexibility/artistry, because though Shawn Sawyer is clearly as athletic skater as kim yuna/the rest of the females, he isnt that competitive compared to the other males despite the fact that he has the best artistic skills. I wish the men's could appreciate his uniqueness more, he's so delightful to watch!
@VeronikaSkater I kinda agree. Shawn Sawyer interprets so much more. Tango is pretty hard to skate to especially in Men's and he keeps that interpretation after his jumps and spins. You have gotta love the cantaliever. Makes it more interesting. And his extensions on his landings are so good and better than a lot of skaters I've seen.
