another heads up about mario's dash attack. There is a distinct difference on the timing when you dash attack. If you attack a little later, there is more knockback. But if you slide sooner, with the right timing, you'll barely touch him, but it will connect, doing about 5% damage and lifting him above your head, allowing for combos.

Everytime I try it, it happens an air up tilt or a up smash...

@SM853 If you have your tap jump on turn it off. Then you will get the results you want. I know it may not be easy getting used to the X/Y button but hand in there. If you use a wiimote, stop using it. Mario can truly be unlocked with the GC controller.

@SM853 Well you don't need one. If you want to master Mario (the easy way) get a GC controller. It will be harder with a wiimote but you can take tap jump of and use the c button to jump. But yeah it will be like 3x as hard to master mario withot a GC controller because you wont be able to do double bairs or anything like that.

@SM853 but if you may get a GC controller in the future get a used one. With the games stop ones it's either a hit or mis. It could break down in 30 days or 30 years, so get a used one, mine has lasted several years compared to the game stop ones (to keep you from over spending) 8D

@SM853 Since you can do all that stuff just turn your tap jump off and use the c button jump then. It'll be hard but hang in their. It wasn't easy for me to do it with my GC controller.

you missed out the fact that f tilt can be angled! if you have the control stick pointed slightly up or slightly down when using f tilt, the knockback will be in a slightly different direction. try it!

If you're V.S. a Falco and he Falco Phantasm to grab a edge then do D-tilt, btw i never though ppl woulda hate d tlt

For people defending Dash Attack: Stop.

What is stated about Dash Attack is very true. It's a risky move which has to be set-up to hit with. I know this because I'm a big advocate on using Dash Attack.

If you miss, it will hurt. If you never miss, then good for you (and play better people), but the risk is still there and needs to be noted.

i never do what u did in ur vid

I don't run up to a person and dash attack when they are charging a strong attack, i use fireball

and i never miss with dash, just time it right
