I was at the zoo a couple weeks ago. There was a big sign right out front that said that it was too cold for a lot of the animals, so they weren't going to be out to greet you.

Why are you trying to defend bad behavior? Jeff certainly didn't seem to care about the rules when he and his friend were at the red pandas afterwords. He and his friend were together during and after the event. He made no attempt to tell the truth to the Ranger and he continued to disrespect the rules of the zoo after they were informed of them. Make more excuses, that is all you seem to do.

Show me where in that video it shows jeff being rude? he was merely recording a trip to the zoo and there happen to be an argument type thing between his boyfriend and the workers. and it wasn't even an argument. and i would like to know who has a zoo with no animals and workers who are out of uniform?

I can understand the no animal part if they would put up a sign before you go to pay for parking, or pay to get into the zoo stating how many exhibits will have no animals around.

However...

The worker being out of uniform and then imitating Zach makes no sense. It also makes no sense as to how employees from the zoo found this video so quick.

If your talking about after when Zach tapped the glass as a small joke, thats ridiculous. Anyone can obviously see it was just a joke over the whole issue that transpired before. I made no attempt to the the ranger the truth? What truth..the original woman Zach told to shut up did NOT have a uniform on! She mocked him, and we never lied to the ranger. This entire episode would have ended without any fuss if you or your friend had simply said "sorry, we didn't know you worked here and we will follow the rules". First off, thank you so much. We honestly did not see the sign. When we asked the workers about it (Which I didn't catch on camera), they never pointed out the sign. But even though there was a sign, the rudeness of repeating the words shut up (yes, Zach told them to shut up, BUT they have no right to make fun of the way he said it..which you can hear in my video) is just as wrong as tapping on the glass.

Second of all, the workers aren't there to be your personal punching bags. They are there to do a job, and that job is to make the zoo a nice place for the animals and the visitors. You have lied about a few things here and you lied to the ranger when he approached you. You were shown a uniform and it didn't matter.

i know these guys and zach wouldnt tell someone who worked at the zoo to shut up. he thought you were just regular people trying to get into other people's business. you can see when the men comes up and asks zach to not tell the workers to shut up. thats when a uniform was shown i guess.

Yes, and there was no attempt at an apology to the workers or any respect for the fact that they work there. There was also a continued disrespect for the rules when they continued to tap on glass at the other location and lied about it. Not to mention they yelled out "this zoo sucks" in the zoo shop as they left. Very nice behavior.

Excuse me? What other location did we tap glass on and lie about it? There was only one other section that had an animal in it and Zach tapped it as a joke. It was light and then we walked off. No one came up and asked us about that one, so I have no idea what your talking about!

As for saying "this zoo sucks" as we left the zoo gift shop, I did not say that. I can not control what another adult says.

As for the man who Zach also told to shut up, he may have saw a uniform on him but by that time, didn't care THANKS to the girl who mocked him. You don't solve rudeness by being rude back.

BUT your zoo should look into purchasing Zoo jackets for the employees, like other Zoo's have! But I am threw talking about this subject. I still find it funny how people who work at the Knoxville Zoo found this video so quick, but thats the only thing funny I find about this.

We're not even coming back to the Knoxville Zoo anymore (by our choice, we were NEVER kicked out) so need to keep arguing over this!
