Help!!! My psp's memory stick is retard!!!

@JustinChokesDicks I hope that you have all in backup, (music, videos,etc.) in your computer so you can copy that to your psp later. You can try a normal format from your psp. ( Search : How To Format PSP Memory Stick on youtube by sterlyn007) But, me, I always shutdown my psp before putting a card in or out. I think doing that should solve your problem.

mmm...I don't know if your PSP is really different than mine. But... I sure hope you know that your PSP must be turned off -BEFORE- putting your memory card IN or OUT. I don't know if it will damage your PSP, but I will not try it. Like others said, save your data on your computer and format your memory stick. (With you PSP and NOT with your computer)

i think i no how to fix it what you have to do is plugin your psp into usb to computer save the game and savefiles and whatever you need and then go back to your psp and format the memory stick tht might help other than that your either screwed or somthing wrong with your psp and you need to get a new psp or new memory stick i hope that helps you!

what you do is take it to where you bought it or where u can buy it and tell the cashier what happened and they should fix it might not be free though

Damn that happened to me twice! Had a 2gb stick for about a year,then this happened and a couple of days ago I bought a 8 gb one and now it happened again! Wtf>? I hope they will replace it >_>

If you cant fix it do this, It might not work but try, 1. back up your save data or anything to a computer if the computer makes the memory stick work. You cant probably to this with USB mode since your PSP turns off so buy these mini things that has a SD slot but at the other end it has a Pro Duo slot so you can use that. 2. Then buy a new memory stick and put the save data on to the new memory stick. This might cost some money but probably the only way to make it work again.

i had that problem,also internet was not working,got a new daughterboard(wich also holds the memory card reader)changed it and worked fine,it could be that

i think i think i no,its probly the sandisk memory stick u got(dont think sandisk works on psp.) get magicgate its for psp (ithink)

Flash your PSP with Pandora and format ur stick on FAT32

i don't know a bunch about PSPs but I know tonnes about tech and I have heard about something known as the 'PSP virus'. This at the worst of stages can brick your PSP or just muck it up. Try virus scanning it on your PC.
