  • I want to boost my h23!!!

  • i blew my h23 non vtec, i am in the process of finding a h22 blue top head for my 2.3 anyone done the ls vtec engine swap yet? any better ideas feel free to let me know i havent actually purchased the head yet

  • Swat, h22 s blocks r not great for boost u would have to sleeve it up. H23 block with h22 head would be a great combo. Or u can do what I plan to do f22 block h22 head + Turbo = awsommmmmmme!!!

  • LOL @ Terrorizing the streets with only 302HP!!!

  • @oldschoolsmoka The car weighs less than 2900 lbs. Not bad.

  • jesus christ son, do you really need to turbo these things??? I mean shit, why not just by a sonic jet?? wouldn't know the difference.

  • my h23 has 197k miles think it would blow

    ????

  • can the h23 fully built with turbo beat an evo? I might do an h23 engine swap with my 08 lancer gts the n/a 4b11 engine blows its pretty fast 160 hp and 220 torque but it cant have turbo and not even sure if drive train internals will be coming out seeing that the evo out shines us -_-

  • @swat305GINO

i think it would be very hard to make that motor compatable with the lancer, but even if you did there is now way it would be able to run with a EVO. it would depent on the year and the version of the EVO

  • i had a H23 block fully sleeved with stock H22 head with Greddy turbo (TD05-18G) n was making 320. y isnt that u making more if the motor is fully built? just asking no offense bro. sick set up!

  • what and where did you get the turbo

  • is this thing really turbo?

  • hahaha... i wanna buy a Greddy bolt on kit for my girlfriends moms prelude, tempting...

  • my lude has 345 whp and its has vtech 4 cylinder, 1000cc fuel injection, turbo and e-85 tuned

  • @ 0:32/2:27 (or just press the 2 key) How do you keep that radiator hose from melting when its sitting right on the exhaust port on the turbo? was the radiator hose an after thought?

  • fully built engine lol mine stock produced 333hp and 355tq to the wheels, get a v8

  • @gforce91 yeah and also has to push more weight and you probably paid a lot more money for your car......

  • @italianboi1390 only weighs about 3300 with me in it. and i paid 3k for it.

  • @gforce91 hmm good point, thats why im selling my 93 lude and gettin a z28 lolz if not then im gonna turbo my lude like this one.

  • @italianboi1390 thats what i got a 95 z28, its good bang for your buck i promice you will love the tourqe. wheather its an lt1 or ls1

  • @italianboi1390 why so you can go down the street in a straight, not everybody wants to do that

i swear to god, all you ever hear on this shit is people talking about there trap times

  • @BassyVick well i drove a z28 and it was nice, obviously didnt handle as good as the lude but idk, i think im going to keep my lude because i just upgraded a couple of things and its pretty quick now :) plus a z28's resale value in mint condition is the same if not less then my ludes is in the "good" condition according to kelly blue book lol

  • h22 dash and or shell (can tell by the tach and red line). so why replace a "better" engine with the h23? I snapped timing belt on my h23 and getting h22 asap

  • Is that really all you have going on is an upgraded ecu?? If so how much did you end up investing?? Ive got a h23 si and was looking for a way to modify what I have without going v tec etc!! nice car bro!!

  • its good that youve focused more on performance rather than going for the fibreglass warrior look!

  • r u running stock suspension??

  • @urnameher agreed, thats why he was making only 302 with a "fully built" engine

  • fully built!? 302 WHP!? Turbo!? I think ur tuner must suck at tuning honda's.

my buddy's 1999 ITR with a GT35R ebay knockoff and forged wesico 9.5:1 pistons made 381WHP at 12 PSI on 91 octane.

Same as his 2000 SH H22 turbo. it made 422whp with JE forged 8.8:1 pistons and a GT35R knockoff brand at 14 PSI on 91 octane. All of his cars were stock except for the pistons.

    its prob just the tuner.

  • @wung

It's a mild tune, which usually means a basemap.

  • @wung lol did u rly just compare 2 vtec motors who alrdy come with more power than the h23 to this guys motor? lol the itr is non comparable to anything but the b16 type r and an h22a4 i presume its vtec and a 2.2 liter pls shut up about ur butt buddys geo metros that he put ngk spark plugs in

  • @rayray891 dude geo metro are 1000WHP STOCK! and with NGK spark plugs its 9000WHP on pump gas......LMAO! JK! i dont really get wat u r trying to say but yeah...the H22A4 are vtec at 2.2 liter. the H23 is 2.3 liter.

  • seemed like a little turbo lag

  • i fucking hate the dash

  • one bad ass ride! nice i love it, and im hoping i can do the same on my 96 h23 lude also.

  • PISS OFF THOSE MOR(M)ONS!

  • thats good power, but to tell u the truth ur not gonna get 450hp with a vtec head or 3map, and if u boost more ur bottem gonna go and one of the piston might smack u in the face, so if u want 450hp u need alot of work. i have a turbo lude and is tuned good. who ever told u that u gonna make 450 to the wheel with just those moods lied to you

  • quick question not to sound dumb but why is your compression ratio lower than the stock H23A1?

  • @DRA60NF1R3 lower compression pistons, so you can boost higher. high compression is not good for running a turbo.

  • @chrissyo777 its actually how much HP your car can handle. Boost doesnt matter.

I can boost 5 psi on a 9.6:1 motor and still blow it.

I can even use a chip ecu on a honda and still blow its motor.

    ive seen it happened before.

  • so i was thinking of putting a turbo on my 92 prelude si "non V-tec unfortunately" till it gets high on miles then installing an h22A v-tec motor but im not sure cuz im 14 and i have to buy my own upgrades so can you guys help me :)

  • Nice Prelude.

    The sound is WOW!. GreaT.

  • as far as i see my JDM 2.2 vtec 'imported from japan' with vactory 200 hp accelerates faster than this one :(

  • @MrDzago my ass lol

  • Northern Utah I see. Sweet ride you still have this?

  • very Nice Prelude nice work man not ricey at all

  • I like the car, very nice job, but it just seems to me like putting the air intake right above the exhaust manifold would attract a little more heat..very nice car though, who did the work?

  • is that the stock radiator

  • Comment removed

  • very nice car! nothing wrong with h23's at all. it's just that its not vtec :P .. But who cares beautiful lude!

  • put an h22 vtec head on it and viola, h23 vtec!

  • hi nice car>>>what kind of software u have on your prelude

  • I believe he is using AEM to tune right now.

  • AEM plug n play ecu

  • @laceylyn77 btw that is a sick ass prelude.

  • H23 turbo? Are you joking? :D How long it took for the engine to chrash? 1000 km ? :D This engine is week (I mean not long lasting). The only right engine is H22 for the Prelude.

  • dude u are kinda stupid right? Read the text in the beginning, " FULLY BUILT ENGINE", its not stock. Stock h23 is kinda week yes, but this one is fully built, so its way stronger than a stock h22....

  • Stfu moron, H23s have more potential than H22s. They've been known to handle decent PSI better than H22s.

  • what are y'all talking about h22 shares the same block as the h23 the only thing that's different is the stroke and the head so h22=h23 in terms of strength of taking boost and the only reason the h22 is better is because the head flows better then the h23.

  • Exactly... fuck.

  • @proeliator38 so what would be better getting an h23 and adding an h22 header to the h23 engine?

  • @swat305GINO get an h22 vtec head and youll get better performance or just get a cold air intake mainifold from h22

  • @proeliator38 or getting an h22 and just build it up so it can handle high lbs of turbo boost?

  • Dude why is an H23 not as long lasting as an H22??? hmmm? Fucking retard.

You can build the motors to be equally as strong.

  • are thoose digital gages
