When I boot my pc it says cpu fan error, I know whats causing this and its because my friend who built it connected the cpu fan to the power supply and not the mobo. The fan works just fine, but i'm annoyed by the fact that I have to press F1 every time I want to boot it. Is there a way to make it so that I don't get prompted with this error screen. Answer much appreciated.
can anyone help? i was installing ubuntu on my pc, and after it installed i had to restart my computer, and it brought me to a screen where it says verifying dmi pool data... no such device. btw on the ubuntu webstite i had to config some settings so i could boot off of my usb with the ios on it.
i have win vista nd i was upgrading it to win 7 downloaded from torrents it wrked wid de first computer, on de other one after finishin all de intstallation wen it restasrt for de first use on de screen is just sayin verifying dmi pool data nd nothin happens after that. plz help
mine, i have acer desktop....all i have to do is when i start my computer if you see the the first screen delete to enter setup or F12 to boot menu....i press F12....and then theres a 4 bootable choices....i pick hard drive to boot up and then press enter...and then is starting up.....and is ok....but there is problem....everytime you turn on your computer you need to press F12 if you forgot.... it gonna show the DMI pool data.....this is only my suggestion....
@TheMarkyMarkos Very late reply. Had the same problem on vista and used vista recovery cd downloaded 120mb and after running it went to the dos promp and did the x:\bootrec /fixmbr. Master Boot Record can cause this problem and repair and sytem restore did not solve it.
@TheMarkyMarkos u need to get in the boot menu/order. when u turn ur comp on wait for the logo it will say something like f1=setup it might have a few keys there u need to look for 1 that ses boot menu or boot order if none of them say then press one of the keys and if it ses something like "select first boot device" then your on the right one. if not keep trying and once uve got it set first boot device to hdd (hard drive). DO NOT CHANGE ANYTHING ELSE or you might screw up your computer........
People love to brag about boot times. I love to brag about my raid array, which increases the boot times, but also increases the awesome once I'm in my OS.
Some mother boards have a quick boot that makes it just flash by. With out a bios the computer stops working the next time you start.. and most cases it's dead and non recoverable
Omg, I got my hair cut today and it looks like your hair cut, the diffrence is that I have longer hair and not so short on the sides. It doesnt sound like the same but it almost is xD
go into your motherboard BIOS and you'll find things such as eSATA, FireWire, Integrated Audio (only disable if you have a sound card) under Integrated Peripherals (depending on your motherboard). Only disable the ones you are sure you are not using.
i think that uj do not should have that motherboard if u ask such a question.
the motherboard is like the best on the market and i think its just for people who really know what they do, so definetly not for the person who asked that question.
i would not even say a rampage II is okay for you, if u do not know what u're doing with teh x58 chipset then buy a gigabyte x58 board - good quality and stable & fast boards, but u can not do anything wrong.
if u have a evga x58 and u don't know that, then its pretty sure that u will destroy your own system with teh board if u just play around with it.....
wtf, some people buy i7 975 etc and don't even know how to overclock, he can but what ever he wants, he doesn't need you to tell him whether he should buy it or not kid.
hey my pc stuck with ‘Verifying DMI Pool Data’....‘Boot Disk Failure, Insert System Disk and Press Enter’...what is this...-_-..please help me..
