My guess is there has been too much free healthcare given away and the government has been upending in the payments via some back channeling of funds to the healthcare system. So they decided to socialize healthcare to make money on the freebees by making everyone pay them for healthcare. A small loss to gain a large profit. But of course dealing with the people that wouldn't normally use healthcare because of no insurance will cause an increase in patients and thus they will increase rates.

Great rant, Ted! Yes, it's all a bunch of f*****g political kabuki theatre. None of these bills should pass, period. The Repubs have been harping about tort reform for decades + that's their only laughable solution to bring down costs. Costs for whom, I might ask. And the incentive for 'preventive care' ? Here's how it works at our company: No pay for sickdays taken, period. If do NOT get sick, you get paid $ 200 at the end of the year as a 'bonus'.
>>> If you DO get sick, you get nothing. Meanwhile our premiums for ins. (the employee part) was raised by 20% last year. Annual deductible is now $ 3,500 with preventive care NOT covered, until you've met the deductible. Nice incentive to get annual exams, heh? Not to mention, the hidden age discrimination, because older employees are considered higher risk, thus the premiums for the entire business goes higher, so guess whom they are going to hire? 24 yr olds with no problems.
>>> nothing wrong with this, but meanwhile they are also going after the last remaining social safety nets left, Medicare + Social Security. Did you listen to Bernanke yesterday? This is precisely where this is headed - but hey, always more money to fight another war.
Hi tenebroust, I am from Austria, we have a state health insurance. Yes, it might help in case you have an accident or need to stay in the hospital longer, but with regular doctor´s treatments, the state health insurance is basically to almost 90% just a right hand of Big Pharma. Our health insurance is paid by our money of course and almost only pays for docs visits and treatments with pharmaceudicals. If you want something better or natural, you have to pay it yourself anyhow.
Had McCain won the reform bill would likely look the same. After all this is modeled on Romney's MassCare Do we not remember what happened when Washington decided people who couldn't afford a house needed to be in new homes? Insurance is the reason healthcare costs are so high, so the solution is to drive prices up more by forcing insurance on the people? To think healthcare is intrinsically different than any other market good or service is naive.
But look at the single payer systems we have now, medicare /caid is broke. A single payer system assumes healthcare is a right, that doctors are indentured-servants and the government owns their time and services.
I don't think we can ask for government to stay out of our lives when it comes to sexual behavior or what substances we choose to ingest, but to be involved in our lives when it comes to our health. They'll want to regulate "unhealthy" behavior.
Ted just call them Republicrats, they are two heads on the eagle. Also not to burst anyone in your country's view on the eagle, but throughout time, the eagle has represented a symbol of imperialism, that is not exactly friendly to the masses. I am thinking the Roman Empire here, The kingdom of Serbia, NAzy Germany, and such and such. As far as symbolism goes, we need a new one that will represent the people. I suggest a burning banker swinging by a rope. That would rally people. Mike.

The Reps want to limit the liabilities towards the medical industry. Either way, the people get a raw deal. The best way, nationalize health care, and national the Federal Reserve bank.
Nationalize the Federal Reserve!!!!!! Yes. I am not for nationalizing the entire medical industry, just the medical insurance industry. I support single payer.
Placing some limits on the amount of malpractice compensation is better than a govt. system that can't be sued at all. The only way that private insurance could cover pre-existing conditions is through govt. subsidy, but at least they would still be under private insurance where there is an appeals process and right to sue. More competition across state lines really would help. If everyone were responsible for higher deductibles, there wouldn't be so many unnecesary doctor visits and tests.
The bottom line is that there is no free lunch (free QUALITY healthcare) and never has been. Medical costs didn't get out of hand until medical insurance with little or no deductible came into play. In earlier times, people put money away for unforeseen medical costs. Charity usually stepped in to help the truly poor. Both patients and doctors were a lot more prudent about avoiding unnecessary costs when it came directly out of the patients' pocket.
All good points watcher. My take on malpractice is that the hype over lawsuits is overblown, it's been shown to be a false issue. Competition across state lines is fine but how can a small company in Alaska compete with an entrenched monopoly like UPMC in Pittsburgh?
Even if the lawsuits are overblown, doctors and medical facilities still have to pay extremely high premiums for coverage against huge multimillionj dollar judgements. Buying insurance out of state shouldn't be a problem because claims are processed electronically, and by phone and mail. Since when do you ever see someone from your health ins. company in person? Small companys are good for providing lower cost catastrophic ins. for those who see the value in self insuring a high deductible.
It's an insurance issue like the entire healthcare debate should be seen as. Why do you suppose doctor's pay so much for malpractice insurance IF my premise (that large settlements are overblown and there is NO malpractice crisis) is correct? Because the insurance companies can charge what they want! That's the essential problem and that is why I support single payer. The cross state issue is fine if it comes down to that.
Propaganda A or Propaganda B, just like the 2 party system we supposedly don't have, you can vote for puppet A, or B - the one who makes no sense and look likes he will keel over before the campaign ends, but don't vote for C,D,or E because they can't possibly win so don't waste your vote.

you have deductive reasoning skills that the average braindead moron is not capable of you better drink some more fluoride before you start thinking too much
I don't feel it does,.....I know it eraticated my allergies for the most part.but No...............nothing has cured my sleeping woes,....I have Kundalini spasms like clock work around 3 o'clock at night for strange reasons..With our without the GABA
Whoa,..!! no ,.....I don't take anti depressants, lol,.....I laugh too much during the day to suffer from that self medicated illness .I just do my own cocktails of various vitamins...to stay healthy
the only times I have sleeping problems is when I'm sleeping at the house where I had previous .problems before,...hmmm....yeah Getting plastered is another way of getting good rest...I used to think being able to sleep out of town was a way to escape , such things,..
Actually, the customer I deal with most, already has insurance with a "heathly lifestyles" service, where you go to their meetings, and now they have a gym here too, and they get breaks on their insurance cost by following their health guidelines, quitting smoking, working out so much, or weight loss, etc. Maybe they have been a beta site... damn corporations ruling everything.
I watched some c-span yesterday on health debate. They both say the other is lying about medicare.
I'll tell you what is true. The plans passed out of committee would lay waste Medicare, no matter what they say. The Republicans health plan does not touch Medicare BUT they have been systematically trying to destroy it for years, why would they stop now?
Oh, from the last two years, what I know is, no matter what, they will grandstand, say they "object" to the plan, but in the "nations best interest" it must be done.
Also, Obama, when he was running for office said "he wouldn't" touch the malpractice stuff, because doctor's needed be accountable. Just one more big fat feakin' lie!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Left or right the strings end in the hands of the same master! Anyone looking to improve healthcare would start at the source of the problem and work their way back down. The king of that hill today is big pharma. Then hospitals and last but not least insurance. But nobody wants to say that. When was the last time we saw a cure for anything? I have a friend w cancer. One of thier pills is near 2K EACH! In a year his pill bill alone is near 1 mill $. Yet pharma gets a free pass in every bill.
Ever see those Sokolove commercials on the television? Makes me wonder if these "junk lawsuits" are the ones against the FDA for not researching their junk pills well enough and giving people cancer and death and shit. Ugh.
.I also feel that dealing with frivolous lawsuits is an important piece of this pie ...malpractice insurance has increased the cost of care and even driven some drs. out of practice....it has caused others to leave more rural areas as they can not make the money necessary to run a practice....people are already using hsa accounts, i would like to know what the enhancements are....right now if an employer puts money into his hsa he has to put in for all of the employees too....
The malpractice thing is in fact a lie to distract you. This is an old saw they bring out all the time to make it seem like it is a big issue but it isn't.
crossing state lines would increase competition.....it is not as if the current plans have the company down the block....it will not matter to the doctor....my husband has a small business and he currently offers healthcare...i can tell you...rates have gone up a lot lately and are becoming difficult for him and his employees as they pay a portion of their care...several years ago he paid the whole cost, but it has just gotten too expensive....
everyone needs to make a commitment to start exercising and eating right.that alone will eliminate alot of unnecessary health problems that people often have....it's time to get oldschool!
Yeah BUT how do you want to eat right if they poison our food? They spray it, mix it with animal DNA and stuff and manipulated the DNA structure... This isn´t good either... They even poison our air. Don´t believe me? Well our military (german military) admited that they spray a substance consisting of barium and what not over our heads to distract the radar. I mean seriousely it makes us sick. Now it makes sense that we have more and mre people getting cancer and what not...
Besides I have a tumor as well. Fortunately it isn´t deadly... but it could turn into a deadly kind of tumor or whatever it´s called in english. It´s growing in my nose since my 11 birthday... The doctors keep cutting it out but it keeps coming back. The larger it gets the higher the risk of turning into deadly cancer... and because of this SHIT in my nose I can´t breath normaly... The doctor told me that this kind of tumor will continue returning until the FUCKING rest of my life...
well,i'd go for a second opinion.there's got to be a way to completely remove it.have you considered alternate procedures?if it's only inside your nose then why can't they remove all of the tissue that's causing it...of course that might call for reconstructive surgery????
I know this story. Yet this would be EXTREMELY expensive for me to produce hemp oil... I know that this is true yet here in germany any kind of Marijuana is restricted which contains T.H.C. . I´ve learned that it´s even healthy when smoking pure marijuana. I know that it sounds crazy but it´s true. I´ve done my research on it. Yet here in germany it would be hard for me to get hands on the semen for this plant and growing it. It´s just expensive. Doctors won´t prescribe it either... here.
Health in America is sit on your lazy ass in front of a computer doing service work for the rest of the world, 40 hours a week then spend the weekend watching football on your lazy ass. Cut the work week put people to work and make your employees get on the treadmill. If you don't want to do service work you should be able to get a physical job that does not involve being able to speak spanish.
0541hr where I live and Ihave been on the trail of something for twenty hours now and I see you are working overtime as well. Not sleeping is an occupational hazard when trying to keep on top of the fucking lies. The thing that stood out for me in that bit of fucking republican nonscence is the Employer putting a couple of extra sheckels in the pay. This will only encourage people who are sick to go to work which will make others sick which will decrease productivity. Or it might mean.....
cont. that if you don't have a gym membership or smoke you will get paid less. Now I would like to make a comment to one of your viewers.
Who is the fucking coward that did not give this video 5***** but didn't fucking comment as to what you found wrong with it? Fuck you fucking cowardly fucking cuts that do this! I fucking KNOW you don't make videos yourself you fucking pussy! Third fucking time I've seen this today. Pisses me off.

tenebroust 2 years ago

Have you tried 5HTP or Tryptophan?
tenebroust 2 years ago
Whoa,..!! no ,.....I don't take anti depressants, lol,.....I laugh too much during the day to suffer from that self medicated illness .I just do my own cocktails of various vitamins...to stay healthy
the only times I have sleeping problems is when I'm sleeping at the house where I had previous .problems before,...hmmm....yeah Getting plastered is another way of getting good rest...I used to think being able to sleep out of town was a way to escape , such things,..
but no. oh well,..screw it
davinciimnot 2 years ago
They are natural products. Tryptophan is an amino acid. 5HTP is a precursor, an extract from a plants. It is really helpful for sleeping.

Thanks Ted.
ChrmdLabradorite 2 years ago

RESET1776 2 years ago 2
Pharma is a king all right and they made deals before anything even was up for consideration. You are so right; where are the cures???

Ever see those Sokolove commercials on the television? Makes me wonder if these "junk lawsuits" are the ones against the FDA for not researching their junk pills well enough and giving people cancer and death and shit. Ugh.

This is exactly what it is that they call "frivolous".

Just goes to show NO politicians should be involved in our health care - regardless of their pretend 'side'.
rataMacue22 2 years ago 2
Well as far as reform goes. In whatever form it takes your doctor should be the final arbiter of what is needed and necessary.
tenebroust 2 years ago
i am not sure this is good........but i am not so sure it is all bad....i agree it needs "a bit more detail" lol.....tkx for the post.........

Go to the GOP website and see for yourself.
tenebroust 2 years ago
.I also feel that dealing with frivolous lawsuits is an important piece of this pie ...malpractice insurance has increased the cost of care and even driven some drs. out of practice....it has caused others to leave more rural areas as they can not make the money necessary to run a practice....people are already using hsa accounts, i would like to know what the enhancements are....right now if an employer puts money into his hsa he has to put in for all of the employees too....
skybirdbird 2 years ago
The malpractice thing is in fact a lie to distract you. This is an old saw they bring out all the time to make it seem like it is a big issue but it isn't.
tenebroust 2 years ago
crossing state lines would increase competition.....it is not as if the current plans have the company down the block....it will not matter to the doctor....my husband has a small business and he currently offers healthcare...i can tell you...rates have gone up a lot lately and are becoming difficult for him and his employees as they pay a portion of their care...several years ago he paid the whole cost, but it has just gotten too expensive....
skybirdbird 2 years ago
everyone needs to make a commitment to start exercising and eating right.that alone will eliminate alot of unnecessary health problems that people often have....it's time to get oldschool!
screw a mountain of pills.
mindrapeart 2 years ago
Yeah BUT how do you want to eat right if they poison our food? They spray it, mix it with animal DNA and stuff and manipulated the DNA structure... This isn´t good either... They even poison our air. Don´t believe me? Well our military (german military) admited that they spray a substance consisting of barium and what not over our heads to distract the radar. I mean seriousely it makes us sick. Now it makes sense that we have more and mre people getting cancer and what not...
NoRestart 2 years ago
yeah, you're right...we need to start over.eliminate the entire power structure.then start from scratch.
the corruption has gone beyond the point of no return.

NoRestart 2 years ago
well,i'd go for a second opinion.there's got to be a way to completely remove it.have you considered alternate procedures?if it's only inside your nose then why can't they remove all of the tissue that's causing it...of course that might call for reconstructive surgery????
i wish you the best.take care.

Doctors won´t prescribe it either... here.
NoRestart 2 years ago
This is true as well.

Your health is ultimately your responsibility.
tenebroust 2 years ago
