Despite the Cold War, Reaganomics and all the other bullshit going on the 80s and 90s were fun when it came to being a kid/young adult and growing up with all the iconic media such as movies, comics and video games that are being ripped off these days.

Other than the starting years the 2000s seem to have no iconic identity one feels connected with, its bland, obnoxious, and without soul.

Ghostbusters is a good example, has there been any comedy movie this last decade like it?

@TheDutchGhost It's weird, but as you get more distance on a decade,the more iconic and identifiable it gets. I remember at the end of the 90's I thought that it was a pretty bland decade. Then I remembered.

Kinda weird isn't it? I am probably overrating the 80s and 90s and its media and culture, but when you are bored or see a movie or a read a book you find terrible its so easy to think that previous decades were much better.

One thing people will probably agree with is that the number of iconic franchises has been dropping people still fondly remember after years since the 2000s
