Haha, you have good guinea pigs, i have to hold my guinea pigs down so they wont run away while I'm trying to bath them and they try to jump out of the tub. I can't help but laugh, it's funny but I'm worried because I'm not sure if its really nice to laugh when they're freaking out over water.
@Megamaster219 do you have portable carrier, let her in that portable carrier, she likes to be inside, and open that portable carrier on your lap and let her slide down, then you can hold her in your arm. :)

Basically, you show them their mess, scoop it up, put it in the litter box, and then show them their mess in the litter box. Let some of it accumulate in the litter box. They will come to associate the litterbox with its intended function. Always use positive reinforcement with treats, pets, etc. You can find videos of that type of thing right here on YouTube.

She says that the GPs will use it about 99% of the time.

Her house really isn't "guinea pig proofed" so she still has to pay close attention to where her GPs are at and what they're up to. Some people post videos here on YouTube on how to GP proof your house. Couple this with litter box training, and you don't even need to keep your GPs in a cage.
@iluvpeanutbutter202 There's a guy that posted a video here on YouTube who doesn't keep his GP in a cage at all. His GP has free reign in his apartment. He keeps a pigloo on a square carpet sample (for padding), food/water, and a litter box in the kitchen where the GP spends most of its time. Whenever he opens the fridge, the GP immediately comes running, climbs into the fridge, grabs its own snack of its choosing, and then goes running back to its pigloo. It's really cute to watch!

With my own 2 piggies, I warm up a fleece bag filled with beans in the microwave, then wrap it in a towel and place it in their cage near where they retreat to. It's just important to keep them warm until they get fully dried off. Bathing them is also not something you want to do very frequently. Personally, I'd say once a month is more than enough.
The ginger one wanted to get out at the end of the bath scene. When they do this, you should take them out. I should know! I have five and one hates baths and jumps out. It's so funny, but horrible when he does it!

@purplepoptart77 That's not true at all. If you do it right, it can be very relaxing for them. Also, if you do it right, they will not get sick. You just have to keep them warm while they are drying off. It's easy and it's a very good idea, unless you want your pigs to stink. Plus, male pigs can get infections on their genital area if you don't clean them off occasionally.

1- yes perfectly normal. Guineas get fussy in the water, they don't dislike it, but it isn't natural for them. This is also why they climb on one another.
2- You can always go to the vets to ask how to do it properly. I'd be wary about going to the pet store as they arn't really trained. All guinea's hate it, don't worry. If you give them their fav snack to distract them, and someone else there to hold them still if need be, then it should be fine. hope that helps. x

please get two. guinea pigs are group animals and should be kept in gorups of 2 or more. you can let him loode in your room, although you will have to litter train him first. and make sure that no wires and stuff are in the way.
lucky! when I do that to my guinea pig, the first thing that comes to his mind is:" jump around, try to get out of bath, and shake off so owner has to dry off!" and it like ALWAYS works. so yes, i'm the one who always has to dry off.
mabey it is an idea to potty train them so they do not find the need to poop in the bath?

hair drying is only recommended if you know how it is done. must seek for advise for the first time or your piggies wont like it. they might get sick or burned...

yeah i haven't bethed my cavies yets but shouldn't you put a towel at the bottom of the bathtub for a better grip? and should i use a warm towel or a normal towel?

please get two. guinea pigs are group animals and should be kept in gorups of 2 or more. you can let him loode in your room, although you will have to litter train him first. and make sure that no wires and stuff are in the way.

i did it and it wasnt hard. one of my pigs could do it without me training her, but the other 3 had to learn it.
maybe put newapaper on the floor, and some of their poop in the litter vox. if it smells like them, they will make the scent stronger.

lucky! when I do that to my guinea pig, the first thing that comes to his mind is:" jump around, try to get out of bath, and shake off so owner has to dry off!" and it like ALWAYS works. so yes, i'm the one who always has to dry off.
