@OrsonMyles i buy your points but my comment was based completely on "the level of consistency" shown by these two; which might go in their favor in tight situations. Am not a pro but as a viewer, as an audience, as a buyer my preferences would be hessel and natalia's pictures over others.

Charlie is quite a surprise package, am glad he was voted back, personally feel his Silence is Golden theme pic was one of the best in that challenge.

@feyobserver maybe you remember me from the first 2 eps, just wanted to ask if a photo with more thought in it is in every case a better photo? If that is so than streetphotography would be a less valid style than let's say landscape, which I do not believe. Streetphotography is done out of instinct more than thought. But I do understand your point.

@OrsonMyles I would say that Landscape Photography IS a more valid form of photography than street photography. It takes much more specialized gear and knowledge of seasons and light, weather, long exposure.

Most of what passes for "street photography" is just point and shoot and try not to get noticed. it's neon, peeling paint and bums mostly.Composition is pretty much thrown out the widow. It doesn't take a lot of talent really.

@sreevathsav I believe it could be very tight. Hessel and Natalia generally count as the favorites. Charlie seems to be the rising photographer who is getting better and better. Forrest's photos at his best make him dangerous too. Same with joselito. at his best he can be perfect. Harrison hasn't come near to elimination as for now. He's always been great. and Ty is the underdog, nobody ever really talks about his photos but I personally believe he could become very dangerous for the rest.

He is entitled to his own opinion and passion in doing the things he wants and like to do, which doesnt always translate to what people think is right or wrong or the norm.. None of these photos impressed me. In fact, I'm quite sure I could have taken most of these photos with a camera phone or compact camera...with the exception of the Evian upside down shot using flashes.

@dbauernf What thousands of dollars? The most I've seen is lights, a camera, and a mac. And as IMTP shows, equipment doesn't equal skill. Don't people who do photography seriously normally come into a few things or at least try to get the best they can?

Every photographer wants the best looking photographs, but what I have seen is money in the series. I believe a talented photographer uses equipment that he can carry on him, not a studio and Photoshop. good flashes cost $300/each. multi flash setups and strobes have been used in this series many times. Photoshop costs $300-$600, then add a Studio?

@springfever2002 I think studio is a relative term. Their studio could be a room where they have their lights backdrops and where they generally shoot. For programs like Photoshop and Lightroom I got them for under $100 with a student discount from Adobe. You can't knock them for using programs, especially when some of the challenges demanded them, plus every photo needs some editing. I think a good photographer is prepared for whatever. And if you can afford the best then way not have it?
