@Wiseguydude a house spider/grass spider. a lot of people call them wolf spiders but thats not true a wolf spider is a small turantula about the size of the palm of your hand. we have bolth types here in colorado
For some reason when I started watching this, I thought perhaps I would be assuaged by interesting facts that make spiders seem less terrifying. I was wrong.
hah! i knew it!! well kind of, i always say if you just put a spider outside it'll take the next opportunity to come back inside... this is MY TERRITORY! pay a rent or die >:(
I still think they look scary, I always knew they wouldnt really hurt you, however you cannot make me less scared of them, -_- and @ TheOtherLioyd , nope I just think thats dumb, and not our fault, (well it kinda is) now lets see the 10 common myths about Weed :D as i am smoking one xD Netherlands PEOPLE ftw!
@SamDul1000 You know what's really scary? That you're less scared of people killing each other than you are of a tiny little thing that neither can nor cares about hurting you.
I had some spider-like fly in my house. I researched it and it turned out to be a crane fly. It was pretty harmless and it didn't really bite anyone, but it was a complete NUISANCE inside the house and it flew around everywhere! I left for a while and found it dead on the windowsill.
Just leave those creatures and others ALONE,stop fearing them like idiots, stop calling them ugly, and stop trying to kill them-because all you do by fearing, revolting and killing them,is just to prove that YOU are the evil ugly and frightening giant monsters that goes out to kill anything in it's path for no actual reason, other then your stupid conquest to kill different things.
Damm with humanity, and hail to the Xenomorph Butterfly Overmind!!!
Insects=important,humans=optional-START REALIZING IT
@Wharwulif I'm pretty sure that if there was a breed of giant spiders, and I came to is habitat, he'd surely kill me. Why would I spare others then. It's called protecting your habitat.
@markecccc889 I'm pretty sure that a breed of giant spiders will have VERY different way of life then the smaller ones, due to many various reasons-therefor you can't say anything about them.
Also, humans definition of "habitat" is rather distorted, and notice how they tend to kill each other over it.
There is no rule to act one way or another, and animals tend to mark their territory and have natural warning signs that say "back away"-humans tend to just conquer/kill/enslave all,and warn None.
@markecccc889 Actually,by killing spiders you invite many other things in.
And spider nests looks awesome! it's a wonderful addition to a house!
And yes, what you say IS a bad thing, because you have a misconception of what "clean" means...Spiders are Very clean, most of them tend to camp in one spot and that's that, and overall-Like insects, spiders also tend to clean themselves, only much less often-They don't need much.
You are most likely much more filthier then any spider you will ever meet!
@Wharwulif Well firstly, Spider nets don't look awesome. They are filth, and a terrible addition.
And really, you try this: Get some spiders on your walls, let them make nets and whatever, then call some friends or family over and see the reaction.
@markecccc889 Those who I consider friends are not the brainwashed rubble you tend to have, and I already got spiders, they don't bother anyone.
Again, those creatures Clean themselves, humans tend to create waste mountains, tend to pollute oceans,Poison the air, kill things for no reason, and dump their shit to the waters they drink, and lets not even talk about damm plastic!!!
Suddenly spider who moved on shit seems rather clean,ah?
@markecccc889 Your choice eventually...it's amazing how people then wonder why there is suffering in the world-they kinda are the ones making it happen, and keeping it that way.
@jjammmees Spiders are simple creatures. They don't feel fear. Like insects everything they do is a direct reaction to an environmental stimulus. For example, they don't think "It's cold in here, better go nearer to the boiler". They sense that it is cold which stimulates them to move around more - randomly until their senses detect an increase in temperature then they keep walking that way. That's what my entomology lecturer said anyway... and it makes sense when you think about it.
on the eating spiders while you sleep. I WISH TO GOD YOU HAD SAID "you dont eat any spiders in your sleep ever in your life".. its currently 1 am..and im about to go to sleep! GOD DAMN IT
When I lived in Georgia I picked up tarantulas all the time in my back yard, to this day they are the only spiders that I like. I had no idea people thought they were dangerous.
People have misjudged spiders and tarantulas SO poorly, I feel sorry for them, they're not as harmless as we think they are and the poor creatures don't attack unless threatened, some of them are pretty cute too :). May God keep all his creatures, not just humans even in spite of what we do to each other and other creatures on the earth, safe in Jesus Christ.
@1gamesforyou That's an OBVIOUSLY DUMB statement, I can't people(not all of course) actually think that. My goodness we would've all felt like something was crawling in us if that were the case :p.
tarantulas, although big are usually slow and don't move if on your hand. try one, they're not like the average house spider. in the same way a cheetah, tiger is nothing like a domesticated cat
I didn't know spiders were called arachnids, but I knew they weren't insects, because the don't have 6 legs which all insects have (unless you are a sadist and you pulled one off of it)
tell me why i see these stealth lookin fast fuckin spiders in my house and i went to the doctors after thinking i was bit in my sleep and they confirmed it. its like a big nasty painful zit looking thing. gosh i hate spiders...
@Mohrkai Yes,actually my best experience so far was when I woke up after an entire night of feeling something weird on my neck and it turned out to be a big black spider. It was as big as a tarantula!!! :((
im not sure the fact about daddy long legs being non-venomous is true, i think they are very but they can't penetrate human skin because their fangs are too short.
@SpardaDVLKing3 i thought that they proved that they can't bite through our skin, not that they aren't venomous. I've seen several other sources saying that the daddy long leg is venomous also.
@tacoismykitty Host Adam Savage subjected himself to a Daddy long leg spider bite, proving that the daddy longlegs spider is indeed capable of breaking human skin. The results? Savage reported nothing more than a very mild, short-lived burning sensation. Analysis of the daddy longlegs' venom revealed it's nowhere near as potent as venom from a black widow spider. That pretty much summed it up.
@SpardaDVLKing3 wouldn't trust Mythbusters too much. sometimes they 'bust' a myth cuss they cant re-ennact it but in reality theyre just not seeing the simple truth. with Hellboy flipping car myth for example. they busted it cuss they couldnt get it to flip by dropping a block of concrete on the nose. none of them came up with the idea the force of HB's fist is applied to the car diagonally, not vertically. which would have made the myth 'confirmed'
Mythbusters are the least reliable group to "bust" any urban myth. They claim to use scientific method to debunk myth, but they usually rely on speculation. And when things don't turn in their favor they always blow it up just because.
