I only ever use Shure, Had a pair of EC2g then EC4

With the EC4's i can drum as hard as i can and only just hear the drums, even with the music playing low, The EC4's were £200 though so isn't a cheap option lol. Worth every penny though, bit dangerous to be used as headphones outside though, You seriously cannot hear a thing apart from your music.

you need hearing protection dude. you'd have to turn the volume up so high to hear the music over your drums, and your drums alone is enough to give you hearing damage. what I did was took some old broken headphones, and put them inside a pair of industrial earmuffs. you take the soft black part off, take the foam out, put the earphones in, foam back in overtop and soft black part back on top of the cord. or you can just wear a pair over your earbuds
