the thing is that, before you can make something great, you must understand it. The reason why PS3 has not been really good is because it came about a year and some months after the release of 360 giving much time for programmers to master the 360. The ps3 being new was quite complicated for the game makers who had to release it on both consoles which in turn resulted to poor games on ps3. But a year later, we are seeing good ps3 games like Burnout, Unreal Tournament, etc which play well

Well Xbox is using the old Red ray pretty much like how PS2 is able to play God of War 2 but pushing its limit though Xbox 360 somewhere below the limit is somewhat pushing it for the Console's performance for Maufunctioning issues for the 360 and the PS3 despite some Frame rate issues plays smoothly with hardly any Maufunctioning issues at all
