Fra Danmark: Deutschland 1 point Ireland 2 points Italia 3 points België/Belgique 4 points United Kingdom 5 points Luxembourg 6 points Schweiz/Suisse/Svizzera 7 points Suomi 8 points Nederland 10 points Norge 12 points
Good evening, Toronto calling. Here are the results from Canada... 1p: Luxembourg 2p: Iceland 3p: Finland 4p: Greece 5p: Belgium 6p: Israel 7p: Germany 8p: Cyprus 10p: Italy 12p: Ireland
I live at 500 meters from the festival hall of the contest in 1987, so live from Brussels are here my personal results of this contest Greece - 1 point (Denmark - 1 point) Iceland - 2 points (Greece - 2 points) Sweden - 3 points (Iceland - 3 points) Cyprus - 4 points (Sweden - 4 points) Netherlands - 5 points (Cyprus - 5 points) Finland - 6 points (Netherlands - 6 points) BELGIUM - 7 points (Finland - 7 points) Ireland - 8 points Germany - 10 points Italy - 12 points
With the win in 1992, he completed a pure Eurovision hat trick for winning on 3 separate occasions: performing a song written for him, performing a self-composed song and composing a song for someone else
I know that the voting is over, but here are the Brazilian votes, anyway: 1p: UK 2p: Ireland 3p: Sweden 4p: Iceland 5p: Italy 6p: Belgium 7p: Cyprus 8p: Yugoslavia 10p: Netherlands 12p: Finland 1987 was one of the greatest years for Eurovision.
Here the points from Bavaria: (without Germany) Italy 1p Austria 2p Greece 3p Iceland 4p Netherlands 5p Portugal 6p United Kingdom 7p Sweden 8p Ireland 10p and Belgium 12p (for a seceond time)
Contrary to his (literally) last-minute victory in our 1980 poll, Johnny Logan really had no trouble scoring a 2nd win for both him and Ireland in this one - and this despite an also very strong showing for my personal favorite Italy. Biggest surprise in the top-10 is surely Finland, whoe totally-80s FM-rock seemed to appeal much more to our voters than the juries of the time (the same also goes for contest hosts Belgium).
What is quite interesting in those 1987 poll finals is that Germany loses 7 places! From 2nd in the official jury voting for 20 years ago down to 9th place.
Like Maribelle from Holland got her "revence" in 1984, if it had been televoting, I don't doubt about that results would have been slightly different. Like Télex in 1980, if there had been televoting, it would have received high scores at least from Britain and maybe Germany.
Last update before the big finish: 1) Ireland 333 2) Italy 287 3) Netherlands 211 4) Belgium 193 5) Finland 192 6) Yugoslavia 178 7) Cyprus 151 8) Germany 126 9) Norway 123 10) Denmark 111 Tomorrow is the last day of voting, folks - get your votes in while you still can!
Votes from Portugal: 1 point to Finland 2 points to Yugoslavia 3 points to Sweden 4 points to Belgium 5 points to Norway 6 points to Luxembourg 7 points to Italy 8 points to Israel 10 points to Ireland 12 points to... Greece!
Thanks to the latest Irish vote, Yugoslavia climbs back to 5th place, while Denmark returns to the top-10. Here's how it all looks like: 1) Ireland 299 2) Italy 272 3) Netherlands 202 4) Belgium 181 5) Yugoslavia 172 6) Finland 171 7) Cyprus 141 8) Germany 126 9) Norway 111 10) Denmark 103 No change in last place: Luxembourg, with 28 points Only 5 days left to vote before the closing date of February 27. Germany's Wind sneak up to 8th place, while Israel manages to, quite unexpectedly, return to the top-10. The current results: 1) Ireland 294 2) Italy 262 3) Netherlands 195 4) Belgium 181 5) Finland 168 6) Yugoslavia 164 7) Cyprus 137 8) Germany 114 9) Norway 110 10) Israel 99 Less than 2 weeks left to vote before the closing date of February 27. My votes 1 - Israel 2 - Portugal (a bit underrated) 3 - Sweden 4 - Italy 5 - Belgium 6 - Greece 7 - Ireland 8 - Yugoslavia 10 - Finland 12 - Netherlands
Okay, turns out this wasn't as hard as I expected, once I got into these songs. But I had to lower my standards to fill out my top-10. Here's my sweat-stained votes (the Icelandic entry hesitantly excluded): 1-Italy (okay song, fabulous lyrics) 2-Belgium 3-Cyprus 4-Netherlands 5-Greece (contemporary 80s rock!) 6-Germany 7-Switzerland (it's fun!) 8-UK (underrated) 10-Yugoslavia (so fun and light) And finally, Finland, 12 points (they really could do no wrong during the 80s)!
They could do no wrong during the 80s? I have only two words to answer to that: "Nukku Pommin" :-) Oh, wait, I have one more: "Huilumies" (I would have added "Reggae OK" to the list, but I actually have a soft spot for that one)
I must say I'm pleasantly surprised at the support my country's entry is getting. It's always sounded as just another slow ballad to me, but it's grown on me and I find it rather nice now. Btw, if it isn't obvious already, I don't think I'll vote for this year - only a couple of songs stand out for me (Yugoslavia, Germany and Switzerland) - filling out the rest of my top-10 looks like an arduous task, not fun at all.
Come on, if SundownerDrifting could do it (and he too had a similar problem with this year), so can you! ;-) As for your entry, it's no more than you deserve, IMO - I find this to be one of the few ballads that truly stood out in an (indeed) rather mediocre year (plus, Halla Margret looks ravishing!)
Okay, you've convinced me (grumble). But it'll have to wait a bit, I'm afraid, I'm rather busy in school. Stay tuned - sure it isn't that bad a year but it doesn't feature that many songs that blow me away, unlike other years in the 80s.
My mistake. I was supposed to give Cyprus 6 points. So my vote is: Switzerland, 1 point Spain, 2 points Netherlands, 3 points Italy, 4 points Finland, 5 points Cyprus, 6 points Belgium, 7 points Israel, 8 points Yugoslavia, 10 points and finally, IRELAND, 12 POINTS
Full marks by Sigaam help Iceland return to the top-10: 1) Ireland 275 2) Italy 253 3) Netherlands 176 4) Belgium 167 5) Finland 141 6) Yugoslavia 136 7) Cyprus 134 8) Norway 110 9) Germany 108 =10) Denmark 97 =10) Iceland 97 Last place: still Luxembourg, with 28 points
The meaning should be: This years icelandic entry is "one of the best from Iceland in the ESC". But it's still one of the most memorable among ALL the entries during the years of ESC (anyone counted how many there are..?).
This years icelandic entry is one of the best ever. It's almost impossible beautiful. Yugoslavia 1 pt Ireland 2 pts (Johnny Logan impresses me, this song doesn't) Luxembourg 3 pts Denmark 4 pts Finland 5 pts Netherlands 6 pts Belgium 7 pts Sweden 8 pts (one of the few swedish entries I like) Israel 10 pts Iceland - of course - 12 pts!
Finland's Vicky continues her steady climb and manages to move into the top-5 for the first time, while Denmark is back in the top-10. The current results: 1) Ireland 273 2) Italy 253 3) Netherlands 170 4) Belgium 160 5) Finland 136 6) Yugoslavia 135 7) Cyprus 134 8) Norway 110 9) Germany 108 10) Denmark 93
More changes in the scoreboard, with the Netherlands climbing into the top-3 for the first time, while Finland and Germany are also moving up and Iceland returns to the top-10. Here's the latest update on the full scoreboard - the top-10... 1) Ireland 245 2) Italy 231 (Umberto and Raf still chasing Johnny) 3) Netherlands 153 4) Belgium 147 5) Yugoslavia 131 6) Finland 127 7) Cyprus 126 (they've lost ground, haven't they?) 8) Germany 108 9) Norway 106 10) Iceland 83
My votes for ESC 1987 1 Point goes to - Turkey 2 Points goes to - Cyprus 3 Points goes to - Sweden 4 Points goes to - Norway 5 Points goes to - United Kingdom 6 Points goes to - Netherlands 7 Points goes to - Belgium 8 Points goes to - Ireland 10 Points goes to - Germany And finally 12 Points goes to - Italy
The latest votes have caused some stir in the scoreboard, where Belgium jumps to 3rd place, pushing Cyprus down to 5th (where they are tied by the also-rising Dutch entry) while, for the first time since the start of this voting, Denmark climbs back into the top-10! The current results: 1) Ireland 224 2) Italy 207 3) Belgium 133 4) Yugoslavia 126 =5) Cyprus 124 =5) Netherlands 124 7) Finland 115 8) Norway 95 9) Germany 93 10) Denmark 77
Wishing to give a push to your favorites? Then vote until February 27 and have your say on who will be the winner in this and all the other polls (available in my video log)!
Eventhough it's 4 months since I voted, I've found out that I have to change it alot! I voted only for that little clip I heard in the recap and when I listened to the hole songs my opinion changed lot so, here's my revised vote, if you want to count them: 1 point: Luxembourg 2: Finland 3: Turkey 4: Greece 5: Switzerland 6: Israel 7: Sweden 8: Ireland 10: United Kingdom 12: Spain!
What an outrage that Italy only came 3rd...! 1 pt Sweden 2 pt Yugoslavia 3 pt France 4 pt Iceland 5 pt Germany 6 pt Norway 7 pt Cyprus 8 pt Ireland 10 pt Denmark 12 pt ITALY of course!!!
Yugoslavia's Novi Fossili return to the top-3, pushing Cyprus' Alexia down to 4th place (where she's also tied by hosts Belgium), while Finland inches up to 6th. The latest top-10: 1) Ireland 202 2) Italy 183 3) Yugoslavia 123 =4) Belgium 121 =4) Cyprus 121 6) Finland 113 7) Netherlands 107 8) Norway 86 9) Germany 78 10) Iceland 69 Interesting in voting for more contests? After quite long, Alexia makes the top-3 a bit more black-and-white again! Here's a full view of the scoreboard - the top-10... 1) Ireland 202 2) Italy 176 3) Cyprus 121 4) Yugoslavia 118 5) Belgium 113 6) Netherlands 107 7) Finland 101 8) Norway 80 9) Germany 74 10) Iceland 59

Johnny Logan moves past the 200-points mark, while Cyprus catches up with Belgium in 4th place (and just 1 point behind Yugoslavia's 3rd). Here's how it all looks like: 1) Ireland 202 2) Italy 166 3) Yugoslavia 114 =4) Belgium 113 =4) Cyprus 113 6) Netherlands 103 7) Finland 89 8) Norway 80 9) Germany 69 10) Iceland 58 Interesting in voting for more contests? Cyprus climbs back to 4th place, while Finland's Vicky catches up with Norway in 7th place and Iceland returns to the top-10. Finally a new update, thanks to NorwegianSalmon, whose 12 points help the Netherlands' Marcha catch up with Cyprus' Alexia in 5th place. Here's the full picture of our scoreboard - the top-10... 1) Ireland 191 2) Italy 142 3) Yugoslavia 101 4) Belgium 89 =5) Cyprus 88 =5) Netherlands 88 7) Norway 76 8) Germany 66 (moving up) 9) Finland 64 10) UK 54
Portugal 1 Israel 2 Norway 3 Denmark 4 Germany 5 Cyprus 6 Ireland 7 Italy 8 Spain 10 Netherlands 12 Im the only one that liked Spain?? :) Such a cool song..!
It seems so, although your vote has managed to pull them out of last place (more below). Oh, yes, our jury also seemed to like it back then, since we also gave it our 10 (and thus saved the Spanish from scoring 0 points!)
Thanks to top marks by odr752, the UK breaks into the top-10 for the first time! The current results: 1) Ireland 184 2) Italy 134 3) Yugoslavia 101 4) Belgium 89 5) Cyprus 82 6) Netherlands 76 7) Norway 73 8) Finland 64 9) Germany 61 10) UK 54 ...And you can watch the whole contest (well, almost) in my playlists!
My points go to: 1 pt Italy 2 pts Netherlands 3 pts Finland 4 pts Denmark 5 pts Yugoslavia 6 pts Irland 7 pts Switzerland 8 pts Turkey 10 pts Norway 12 pts United Kingdom I would give Iceland 6 pts, if I weren't from Iceland myself.
Ok, hear is my votes: Yugoslavia - 1point Denmark - 2points France - 3points Switzerland - 4points Ireland - 5points Italy - 6points Finland - 7points Austria - 8points Sweden - 10points Norway - 12points Pleas, show us the hole scorebord. From first to last thank you... But, is nothing from esc 1985 in your profile, why?
First of all, thanks for voting. I've included a recap from 1985 in my favorites, and you can post your votes for that year there. As for my videos, I've mostly aimed to find and upload ESC performances that are not available here on YouTube, and almost all the 1985 entries can already be found elsewhere here (except for Austria, which I plan to post at some point in the future).
So, after lwsmackie provided us with the precious comic moment of the night (just kidding - props to the guy :-)), here's the latest top-10: 1) Ireland 153 2) Italy 117 3) Yugoslavia 95 4) Cyprus 76 5) Belgium 73 6) Netherlands 70 7) Iceland 53 =8) Germany 50 =8) Norway 50 10) Finland 44 ...And now you can watch the whole contest (well, almost) in my playlists!
Despite my under-the-table efforts (he he) to drum up support for Umberto Tozzi and Raf, Johnny Logan is beginning to look unbeatable, as he's now 35 points ahead from the rest. The current top-10: 1) Ireland 145 2) Italy 110 3) Yugoslavia 95 4) Cyprus 76 5) Belgium 73 6) Netherlands 67 7) Iceland 53 8) Norway 50 9) Finland 44 10) Germany 40 Last place: still Austria, with 12 points (come on, it wasn't that bad!)
oops ..... Belgium 6 pts ....it should have read - I was having an Angela Rippon moment! Actually , not a wonderful contest ... most of the 80s ESC were pretty dodgy to me ...only a few great moments..at the time I never watched them as it was so out of touch with the real music world (soooooooo old fashioned compared to the UK music scene).
Germany 1point Austria 2points Finland 3points Yugoslavia 4points Denmark 5points Greece 6points Portugal 7points Sweden 8points Ireland 10points Norway 12points kate Guldbrandsen from Norway did a good work, and I think she had deserwed to get together with the top 3
...and positions 11-22: =11) Israel 31 =11) Sweden 31 =13) Turkey 23 =13) UK 23 15) Greece 22 =16) France 20 =16) Denmark 20 18) Spain 19 19) Switzerland 16 20) Luxembourg 15 21) Portugal 14 22) Austria 10 ..And now you can watch the whole contest (well, almost) in my playlists!
After ESCsince1968's voting, here's the full current scoreboard - the top-10... 1) Ireland 127 2) Italy 110 3) Yugoslavia 88 4) Belgium 73 5) Cyprus 69 6) Netherlands 67 7) Iceland 51 8) Germany 39 9) Norway 37 10) Finland 35 (after a long absence, they're back in the top-10)
Not as mediocre a year as 1st glance suggests. Here is my vote: Austria I pt Portugal 2 pts Norway 3 France 4 Denmark 5 Iceland 6 Finland 7 Germany 8 Italy 10 Ireland 12
So, after SundownerDrifting's voting (Mike, I imagine how desperate you must have been to give 6 points to "Amour, Amour"!), here's the latest top-10: 1) Ireland 115 2) Italy 100 3) Yugoslavia 88 4) Belgium 73 5) Cyprus 69 6) Netherlands 67 7) Iceland 45 8) Norway 34 =9) Germany 31 =9) Israel 31 =9) Sweden 31 ...And now you can watch the whole contest (well, almost) in my playlists!
Broken down and battered, yet still surviving, I place a blood-stained note with my 1987 votes to you: 1 point: Greece 2 points: Austria 3 points: Cyprus 4 points: Norway 5 points: Netherlands 6 points: Luxembourg 7 points: Belgium 8 points: Spain 10 points: Finland 12 points: Italy I hope you appreciate this, 1987 gets my vote as Worst Ever ESC. I had a top 2, and had to painstakingly (emphasis on PAIN) listen to (almost) all the other entries to figure out which ones I disliked least!
Belgium continues its upward climb and now ties Cyprus in 4th place, while the Swedish bring some Boogaloo in the top-10 for the first time. The latest results: 1) Ireland 115 2) Italy 88 3) Yugoslavia 88 =4) Belgium 66 =4) Cyprus 66 6) Netherlands 62 7) Iceland 45 =8) Germany 31 =8) Israel 31 =8) Sweden 31 Last place: Austria, with 7 points
Yugoslavia is now in 2nd place all by themselves, the Belgian "Soldiers of Love" have conquered 5th place, while - most impressively - two back-to-back 12's have rocketed Germany from last place into the top-10! Wind fans unite! The latest top-10: 1) Ireland 98 2) Yugoslavia 77 3) Italy 76 4) Cyprus 66 5) Belgium 55 6) Netherlands 50 7) Iceland 37 8) Israel 31 =9) Germany 25 =9) Norway 25 Last place: France, with 6 points
Bonsoir Ici Hambourg et voici les résultats du vote allemand Italie un point Chypre deux points Israël trois points Belgique quatre points Danemark cinq points Islande six points Luxembourg sept points Le Pays-Bas huit points Yougoslavie Dix points Et au fin L'Allemagne douze points
Thanks to the latest voting by duxNS, Novi Fossili have now tied Umberto and Raf in 2nd place, while Israel's Lazy Bums make a strong climb from 10th to 7th. The latest top-10: 1) Ireland 98 =2) Italy 67 =2) Yugoslavia 67 4) Cyprus 57 5) Belgium 41 6) Netherlands 36 7) Israel 28 8) Iceland 27 =9) Norway 22 =9) Turkey 22 Last place: still Germany and Luxembourg, with 1 point each
Ireland is now way ahead (I'm with Italy myself, but I guess you can't argue with a classic), while Yugoslavia climbs back in 3rd place and israel (!) and Turkey (!!!) break into the top-10. The latest results (really? Turkey? THIS Turkish entry??) 1) Ireland 86 2) Italy 59 3) Yugoslavia 57 4) Cyprus 51 5) Belgium 40 6) Netherlands 33 7) Iceland 27 =8) Norway 22 =8) Turkey 22 10) Israel 21
these are my points: 1 points to cyprus. 2 points to UK. 3 points to norway. 4 points to iceland. 5 points to italy. 6 points to turkey. 7 points to belgium. 8 points to israel. 10 points to yugoslavia. and finaly IRELAND 12 points!!!!
Thanks to Mangoteppe's vote (btw, I don't think one had to be ANY kind to Luxembourg, but alright) Ireland gains a considerable lead over Italy, while the UK surprisingly breaks in the top-10: 1) Ireland 74 2) Italy 54 3) Cyprus 50 4) Yugoslavia 47 =5) Belgium 33 =5) Netherlands 33 7) Iceland 23 8) Norway 19 =9) Finland 17 =9) UK 17 Last place, with 1 point each: Luxembourg (oh, yes) and Germany (now, 2nd in the actual contest and last in this voting?! That says something...)
Yes, I understand why you say that. At least 0 points gets some publicity (and quite a few nul-pointers are considered classics), but 1 point just gets you ignored by everyone...
My Top 10: ( Without Norway ) 1 point: Luxembourg ( I think I should be A BIT kind to Luxembourg ) 2 : Belgium 3 : Greece 4 : France 5 : Cyprus 6 : Turkey 7 : Sweden 8 : Israel 10 : United Kingdom And the 12 points goes to : Ireland ( of course... )
here are my votes:) my comment wasn't posted here last night :@ 12-IRELAND 10-NETHERLANDS 08-BELGIUM 07-CYPRUS 06-ITALY 05-ICELAND 04-YUGOSLAVIA 03-NORWAY 02-FRANCE 01-SWITZERLAND

Well, you know, 80s fashion (disastrous, wasn't it?)... Still, that's the only negative thing I can say about Viktor Lazlo, since otherwise she was possibly the most graceful and stylish ESC host ever.
Here are the top 10 with 1 more vote coming it: 1.Ireland,Italy 36[A tie but I perfer Italy] 2.Cyprus 32[Not far behind] 3.Yugoslavia 31[One of my favourites] 4.Netherlands 19[I would give this 12 points] 5.Belgium 13[I would give this 12 points too] 6.Finland 11[A good song] 7.Iceland,Greece 10[A tie but I dont know who I perfer] 8.Denmark 9[An ok song] 9.United Kingdom,Sweden 7[A tie but I perfer Sweden 10.Portugal,Switzerland 5[A tie but I perfer Switzerland]

Nice contest, with one of the best and most stylish hosts ever. Here's my top-10 (not counting Greece): 1 point: Finland 2: Norway 3: Austria 4: Iceland 5: Portugal 6: Denmark 7: Cyprus 8: Yugoslavia 10: Ireland and 12 points to... Italy (possibly the best 80s ESC entry)

Indeed - and they weren't even in the top-10 until about halfway! It seems like their entry has lost a lrage part of its appeal after 20 years...
tasosk3 3 years ago
Like Maribelle from Holland got her "revence" in 1984, if it had been televoting, I don't doubt about that results would have been slightly different. Like Télex in 1980, if there had been televoting, it would have received high scores at least from Britain and maybe Germany.

They could do no wrong during the 80s? I have only two words to answer to that: "Nukku Pommin" :-) Oh, wait, I have one more: "Huilumies" (I would have added "Reggae OK" to the list, but I actually have a soft spot for that one)
tasosk3 4 years ago
I'll verify; from '83 onwards, and excluding '88, they really couldn't!
setheurovision94 4 years ago
To this I'll agree (even if I don't really like Kirka's song myself - but I do see its appeal)
tasosk3 4 years ago
I must say I'm pleasantly surprised at the support my country's entry is getting. It's always sounded as just another slow ballad to me, but it's grown on me and I find it rather nice now. Btw, if it isn't obvious already, I don't think I'll vote for this year - only a couple of songs stand out for me (Yugoslavia, Germany and Switzerland) - filling out the rest of my top-10 looks like an arduous task, not fun at all.
setheurovision94 4 years ago
Come on, if SundownerDrifting could do it (and he too had a similar problem with this year), so can you! ;-) As for your entry, it's no more than you deserve, IMO - I find this to be one of the few ballads that truly stood out in an (indeed) rather mediocre year (plus, Halla Margret looks ravishing!)
tasosk3 4 years ago
Okay, you've convinced me (grumble). But it'll have to wait a bit, I'm afraid, I'm rather busy in school. Stay tuned - sure it isn't that bad a year but it doesn't feature that many songs that blow me away, unlike other years in the 80s.
setheurovision94 4 years ago
And thanks for the kind words on "Hægt og hljótt", btw. :)

Ops. Forgot someone else had been watching you tube on his own log-in password. The last comment from The0Fish is mine...
Sigaam 4 years ago
The meaning should be: This years icelandic entry is "one of the best from Iceland in the ESC". But it's still one of the most memorable among ALL the entries during the years of ESC (anyone counted how many there are..?).
The0Fish 4 years ago
It's sth more than 1,000 (counting from the very first contest up to now) :-)

It seems so, although your vote has managed to pull them out of last place (more below). Oh, yes, our jury also seemed to like it back then, since we also gave it our 10 (and thus saved the Spanish from scoring 0 points!)

All this effort to make your statement, and you still forgot to give 6 points...tut, tut...(shakes head in disappointment)
tasosk3 4 years ago

Yes, I understand why you say that. At least 0 points gets some publicity (and quite a few nul-pointers are considered classics), but 1 point just gets you ignored by everyone...

Well, you know, 80s fashion (disastrous, wasn't it?)... Still, that's the only negative thing I can say about Viktor Lazlo, since otherwise she was possibly the most graceful and stylish ESC host ever.
