  • This is a great moment in history...we tell them to bury their dead cause its proper, then we dig em up for profit. Same as the story in Poltergeist, which Steven Spielberg made. The only difference is that Spieilberg got out of the deal, and the Chinese got deeper in. Didn't they watch the movie?

Ya, we need housing, and solid urban planning, but these unethical choices merely taint a woud-be good home. LA's price mark is already ahead of the rest of USA. we need better, affordable apts now

  • The natives there never buried their dead until Preists came and told them they better or they'd go to hell, that's why remains only date back to the time of Christian arrival (except for pottery).

Huge amount of remains were already dug up as the Red Car Line had Playa Vista marked as a point of interest for archeology enthusiasts, 'a day at the beach and a family dig'. There's early era photos of just such an undertaking all over Playa del Rey. No surprise that they found bones this time too

  • "Small town" living it is not. As a homeowner in Westchester, I'm monetarily happy that Playa Vista might make my neighborhood more gentrified again but the facts are still dirty and creepy.

  • and decided to pay the huge fine rather than wait for due process. While that cowboy attitude has its merrits, it must be remembered as the illegal and cruel action that it was, not just against the deceased and their living ancestors, but against the Santa Monica, Venice, and Marina del rey community who all voted against Playa Vista unless they took resonable steps towards transportation allieviation, wetland alieviation, and provided a certain amount of affordable housing which they did not.

  • Believe what you will, there is actual footage available on You Tube of Phase Two actions. The company, loosing money after nearly thirty years of process, went against a court injunction against bulldozing,

  • this shit is fake i live in playa vista this is right next to it at the mall there building and then another place next to it called ballona wetlands so fuck off

  • If that is what you choose to believe...

  • yeah that is what i choose to belive and i love most of the places there becuase my uncles company built alot of places there

  • i can't decide what is best. i mean, i've been living in playa vista for the past four years and i love it. it's an awesome and peaceful place, great for college students, young professionals, families, and the elderly. pretty much anyone can live here happily.

i do think it's disrespectful to build over burial grounds. however, as the world populates and there is a shortage of lands, sometimes we will have to sacrifice spiritual grounds, though it is unfortunate.
