  • the slide show is great but I think the loud music should not be a part of your presentation

  • i

    wish have all that tools

  • How thick is the side and what kind of wood

  • how long did it take u to make this?

  • great work great guitar 10/10

  • Post a bloody video of someone playing it! We want to hear it!

  • Nice; that`s a piece of art!

  • how many people build their own guitar? very impressive and it looks very good too! Hope it sounds good as well!

  • i love the back of the guitar with the double binding. the shape of the guitar is cool. nice Guitar overall!

  • @bullshitproof haha thank you

  • @THEJSEED I think it looks fabulous. I would like to get to know you more and hang Christmas bells on your nipples.

  • @bullshitproof Right because the look of a guitar has a major role in the sound of a guitar right?

  • @bullshitproof how can you call any guitar ugly?

  • @mjhe23de whats that suppose to mean buddy? do u enjoy speaking out of ur ass, im quite sure you dint even know what you meant by ur comment, i recommend u start putting some thought in ur replies before you reply to ME. or else ill just ignore you, and im sure you wouldn't want that would you? ur just begging for attention ;)

  • can't tell if the singer is aussy or irish..

  • @caramelskater aussy

  • @caramelskater english

  • Can you make a video of the sound of your home build guitar?

  • @TheLars63 I need 1 but i have no recording equipment

  • @THEJSEED The quality would be sorta crappy but couldnt you use a computers internal mic?

  • @THEJSEED can you maybe go into some detail about attaching the neck? That's the one thing I can't figure out on my instruments. It seems like there would be too much force from the strings to do a joint like that

  • Impressive! What a beautiful guitar. Is there a video of how it sounds?

  • A beatiful guitar i wish i had one like that

  • well done

  • And the most important part how guitar sounds like, missing on this video...

  • nice...

  • you has a guitar plan?

  • what type of wood did you use for the bridge?

  • I used rose wood for the bridge, and i got the fret board and all the dark lines off the same plank.

  • @THEJSEED where did you buy the wood from?

  • The doormat antics!! Thanks :)

  • dude, what is the name of the band playing?

    sweet guitar too, nice job

  • that's really good aye. i wish i was as creative as you and had the tools to make a guitar. You got any advice on here to do it? and what equipment you would need to make it and how much did it cost you altogether to make the whole thing!!! i wanna make one!!! :-D

  • @brookee30 I got all my ideas of other guitars and ecorperated the best onto mine. Tool wise it is made 100% by hand using basic hand tools but make sure they are sharp!! I think the build coust about £200 with all the glues, veneers, frets, laquers, keys etc but look at the prices of a hand made guitar to buy!! Look in music shops at guitars and choose their best bits, make a sketch and take pics and go from there. Thats what I did any way. Fret gaps etc can be found online. good luck

  • @THEJSEED oh cheers! thankyou :)

  • where did you get those woods??? reply

  • Is this a doable senior project even if I have never done anything with wood before?

  • @julie77412 This is my first and only attempt at making a guitar and i am really pleased with the result however I think my experience with working with wood helped alot, but if you have got the drive and pacience then im sure you will do a great job at making your own!! There is loads of advice on the internet and although i have only made one i would be happy to try and help with any queries.

  • Yes, very nice .. but it is a result of too professional. Please tell me you've studied in a school of restoration of antique furniture, woodworking, luthier .. so I will have a reason to not be ashamed!

  • @nicodanger13

I am flattered by your comments but unfortunatly i have never been trained in bespoke wood work however i have been making things with wood from as far back as i can remember. Thanks you for your comment

  • nice one .......now i feel like making one

  • Nice one !

  • how long did the whole building process take ? and what kinda woods did you use ?

  • @SilkeeSannee

It took me 2 and a half years from start to finish but i was doing it in my spare time- sometimes I left it for weeks with out any progress.

  • why did u go with a commonly shaped guitar? if u were building it yourself wouldnt you want to go a little more unique? came out really nice tho

  • whats the song?

  • she's beautiful

  • how does it play?

  • @jmanchickabow Im really pleased with it. The size fits me perfectly and it sounds great. Its the guitar i play most!

    thanks for your interest, John

  • Only one word.......amazing. Must be cool as hell to play one you built yourself.

    wait....thought of another word....amazing.

  • Really nice looking guitar!... I have built my self 3 guitars...and I used exactly the same steppes as you did... but your guitar is far better than mine's, I have to pay more attention to the details... really like your guitar

  • respect! very good building, keep it up!

  • I used epoxy for the main part and yellow glue to hold the bridge on.

  • what was the glue you used to build youre guitar

  • whats the url for your ebay?

  • @fiafaraimo

Sorry no plans left. Could make you a set if you are still interested.

    Thanks for your comment.

    John Seed

  • can we hear how it's sound? :s

  • looks like an ibanez talman

  • Wow, she's a beauty!

I want to start building my first guitar soon, I hope it looks half as good as yours. I'm very curious as to hear it though :O

  • Great Job!

Looks amazing but you should make a video to let us hear how it sounds

  • You've got some major skills my friend. I'm not a fan of the "Ibanez Talman" body style (I prefer jumbo's, GA's, dreadnoughts and such), but you did a great job building it!

  • hi , from where did you get all the informations related to building the guitar .. if there is any book please mention it ,

    PLEASE

    PLEASE

    PLEASE REPLY

    thanx in advance

  • @MRLD237 different bits of the guitars design are based in a number of different guitars,- i just went round the music shops and took pics of what i liked the look of! the internet was great for finding info on types of wood etc. a friend brought me a book (step by step guitar making by alex willis) which shows a much easier way of making guitars however i had already started my way and wanted to continue. i would love to see pics of your project! any Qs just ask!! John Seed

  • @THEJSEED thanx

when i will make it i will surely show u the pics ....

  • GOOD JOB!

  • @BlindShorty11 Thanks

  • thats awsome so are all the small peices around the edge3s indivigual then glued or what

  • @KoR yes the rose wood strips were cut on the band saw and the white beach veneer strips were cut with a straight edge and a knife. I applied apoxy to the gluing surface on the guitar and held the lined in place with pins. tideous possibly but it worked out nice in the end!! thanks for your comment!!john

  • dude thats one heck of a work!! and the guitar is beautiful... could you post a video of you playing it so we could hear it a bit?

  • where are the steps on ebay ????

  • WOW! you are TALENTED!!

  • Great work! How long have you been building guitars?

  • how much wood (in m²) went into the body of the guitar itself?

  • @YaiBugy 2ish Y?

  • @THEJSEED sorry, come again?

  • @YaiBugy about 2m². why?

  • @THEJSEED oh thanks, im building one for a science project. we are studying acustics and sound waves

  • @YaiBugy i would love to see some pics if you have any!!

  • @THEJSEED - i hope to be doing the same thing for design & Tech.

    Very helpful :D

  • @THEJSEED - i hope to be doing the same thing for design & Tech.

    Very helpful :D

Btw, what wood did you use?

  • Did it crack, 3:30 ?? D:

haha, end result looks great though [:

  • @CultureTakesTheSyn haha bloody technology!!

  • another thing...very impressed with design, especially the pegless bridge...

  • why dont you post a video of you playing the guitar...

  • inspiring!!!!

  • What was the cost in this?

  • @GuitarMan9600 about £200 in total. That includes all of my experiments with different glues and veneers etc.

  • were is sound sound sound sound sound sound?))))

  • dude you are awesome!! amazing work!! when you have your own company i'm gonna buy one of these! :)

  • @Raunchola haha you gem!!

  • SEXY!!!!!!!

  • I have a feeling you've done this before.

  • how much are you selling it for??

  • @jmanm39 haha she is not for sale thanks anyway. Priceless to me.

  • this is sick man , could you send me the plans for this ? you did such an amazing job on this , it must of took you such a long time to do this .

  • @left4dead69 2 and a half years it took to make!! learning bend the sides was a killer,- good old trial and error! I mastered it by the forth set. I did a time sheet to see how lond it took me to put the purling on,- 106 hours!! so worth it though. Im not sure if ive got and plans left, leave it with me. Glad you like it!!

    John

  • this is sick man , could you send me the plans for this ? you did such an amazing job on this , it must of took you such a long time to do this

  • this is sick man , you should set me up with some plans so i can build myself a sick guitar like this one , amazing job it must of took forever to build something like this

  • I have got some questions. How long did you worked on it? What kind of wood did you used? What tools did you use? How old are you?

  • @TheDangerousBiker 1 month planning, two and a half years in total to finish it, ive used mahogony with oak strips for the back and neck, rosewood for the fret board and dark lines in the purflin, and an old piano sound board for the sound board. My tools are very basic, i did most of it by hand hence the long time building. I started the build when i was 16.

  • Жесть! :)))

  • @Heavimetall89 Nice

  • does anyone no wat the name of this song / group is thanks!

  • one word! beauty

  • how does it sound?

  • @Meatlooaf Its the guitar i play every day!! i think it sounds fantastic!! im so pleased with the results!!!!

  • Hi, i got a question, - where did you get all plans for your guitar?

    the size of guitar ?

  • Is this your first build? If so it's very impressive. I've built 4 so far, none of them approaching this for craftsmanship. Also, I find your construction methods fascinating, unlike any I've seen before, and I will be trying to copy something like this after the 3 I'm working on now are finished. How do I find your plans on e-bay? By the way Lowden's also use a pinless bridge system and you don't hear about those collapsing do you? Respect! , Dave.

  • @chetscott

Yes this is my first build, i was only planning on building one guitar so i wanted to make it special. My construction methods are a result of trial and error, it took me 12 months to bend the sides to a perfect standard (with my NO experiance in steaming)

The bridge came off after the first week of having strings so i changed the glue and have never had a problem since. (6 months so far)

I can sort you out a set of plans if you wish.

    Thanks for your comment/interest.

    John

  • @THEJSEED When using a pinless bridge, then usually two small bolts or screws are added for securing the strength, even with pin bridges. But if you say it is lasting, then this is more than good. Still looking forward for some sound samples.

  • @Velkus96 i didnt want to de-face the bridge with any sort of visible fixing so to aid the strength, i made two rosewood dowels which i drilled and fitted under the saddle and sanded flush. They seem to be doing the job and are almost invisible when saddle is lifted.

ive joined a new band so hopefully i will make a recording if we ever do some.

    John

  • btw, why didnt you drill the bridge holes through the soundboard and use the pin system. It would have been more secure.

    What band is it playing?

  • @Velkus96 thank you for your comment. I have choosen to put a brace across where the string holes would be, A) for strength and B) for sound,- I thought it would help spread the vibrations from the bridge area. The Band are called the doormat antics. Check out their myspace.

    John.

  • @THEJSEED Usually this style of bridges and bridge mounting type are used for classical nylon stringed guitars, and then the steel strins are not recommended because they mighy rip the bridge off the sound board. (have had experience)

But lets hope for the best! And I am anxiously waiting for some sound samples

  • I love the tele looking shape and how the guitar turned out. Your building style is also quite unique. Would like to hear some sound soon!

  • good job, man

  • thats nice mate, u got a sample sound video?

  • sorry i have not made a recording of the sound yet. if i do i will add it to this video. thank you for your comment.

  • so does it work?

  • Im very pleased with the result. I use this guitar more than any and its sound stands out from all of my others. feed back has been great.
