Royal Caribbean owns this island (Labadi) and these are the passengers coming off the cruise ship. There are markets and people serving food that are natives of Haiti. It is a beautiful place, I want to go back.

@mikaylarosa They don't "own" it. They lease it. But Haiti gets profit from Royal Caribbean's efforts not to mention a school they built after the earthquake. But Royal Caribbean has access to many ports like at the "saints" islands like thomas and marteen...how else would they be able to get in their ports if they didn't pay and vice-versa. That's was cruising is about. Personally, I think it's good that R.C didn't isolate Haiti.

Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines now owns either that whole part or just Labadee, which is their out island. We were just there 2 months ago on "Freedom of the Seas" and we had a cookout on the beach and rode the world famous "Zip LIne" over the 1/2 mile travel over the water and its the most fun you can have with your pants on!
