A extremely pretty game. A game that's very pleasant to listen to (great soundtrack and some pretty good voice acting to boot). But man is this game frustrating. It's a truly astounding feat to make a game where even using the console cheats (which is what I had to resort to) has the potential of irrevocably making your game unwinnable.

Now was wandering if there is any game more like this but as i see there is none atleast for now.But i hope so that some day will get out something like this coz i rly like that kind of games puzzle and so maybe u heard old game tower of the sorcerer.Anyway if u know any type of game like this plz let me know thx...

Oh, hello, your comments sort of stretched out to the point that I stopped checking... right, similar games... it's hard because everything is so unique, from the interaction with the 'bosses' to the mechanics and abstraction.

Ice Pick Lodge's previous title 'Pathologic' creates a similar bleak atmosphere with excellent storytelling, but the translation isn't great and it is far harder to play through.

A re-translation is underway so I'd recommend looking into that some time in the future.

The most identifiable aspect of the Void is that feeling of 'I don't know what's happening or what I'm doing!' and there's probably some other games that make some attempt towards this but I don't know what they could be and it seems like in most hands that feeling would emerge be due to lack of development rather than an intentional mindtrip.

Sorry... but that's the hardest question would could've asked!

It's difficult for me to recommend anything when I don't know what mistakes you're making, do you think you might have been giving too much away or not collecting all you can find? Are you remembering to refill your hearts when they start draining?

Watch through my videos until Uta and see if I do anything differently to you. Hopefully you'll find something specific that you can work out on your own or ask me about!

@CannibalK9 I try to give away what i can to the trees without dying, but after one great harvest there is max 10 color in the next cycle. and one more thing! When i collect color, it goes right into the heart thing, and not into the one i use to draw glyphs. And in every room it says there is much of the orange color, but i cant find it. neither the colors i need to give to the sisters. I only have a little blue, gold, and green. When that is used up Im dead. I think i will try copying you xD

@vildeveitja95 Keep in mind that trees have diminishing returns. Color management gets really brutal in the late game, too.

I'm commenting on this episode just 'cause, but I have to say this let's play is incredible. I played The Void but got stuck around your cycle 6 - never beat the pangolin. I'm happy to see how the game plays out.... But your commentary is incredible! You star in character so well and really get into it. Well done.

@aldurthedrowshade With hindsight I think this first episode is a bit annoying, I was trying to fill people with uncertainty though I should've planned it better or at least waited 'til a later episode.

In my opinion (and I am my own worst critic) it gets a lot better a few episodes in once I am comfortable recording my voice, and remains that way until the end with only a few comments that only I will ever understand.

I can't alter a strong opinion of course, but thanks for watching anyway!

@SkellionPowalskiz No they can't. Mw2 is just repetitive killing, the ai are horrible (Compared to that of S.T.A.L.E.R. and Cryostasis) and bioshock is the same thing, just underwater. You kill everything you see other than a few ai that never do anything on their own.

@SkellionPowalskiz I don't have a ton of spelling errors. Speaking of spelling errors, nice run on you've got there. Mw2 is a horrible game. Bioshock is also horrible, as it's just like every other console game, uncreative and violent. Yes, S.T.A.L.K.E.R. and Cryostasis are violent, but not "Kill everything you see" violent, in Cryostasis you save people by going back in time and stopping their deaths, in STALKER, you can do a pacifist run if you try hard enough.

@EaterOfTheSoulsdude STALKER, Cryostasis, and MW2 are all the same, they have first person cameras, identical controls, and you kill things with guns, although STALKER and Cryostasis are better because they have original stories and you are more involved in the world and make more of an impact, and can choose what to do, that's really the only difference, you can keep say "NOOO I CAN'T HEAR YOU LALALA" if you want, but I'm done, go back to being an ignorant child, I'll have no more of it.

@SkellionPowalskiz They are very different. I can assure you. They just all happen to be first person, due to the immersion first person brings. Plus AI is so much better in the two pc games. You can't deny that they're two very, very, different games. It's almost like saying mario is like zelda because they're both made on a nintendo system and you kill stuff.

@EaterOfTheSoulsdude STALKER and Cryostasis are quality games, this is no argument, but you look own on games like MW2 for absolutely no reason, not every game can be amazing, when it comes to FPS games, 90% are going to be either sub-par, terrible, or just boring, and that's just how it is, but that doesn't mean they aren't fun, I've never bought or plan to buy any of those games, such as Halo or Call of Duty, but if a friend brings a copy over and a few controllers, I'm bound to play it.

@SkellionPowalskiz If you look at my op, you'll see that this disscussion started when I said russia makes so many better games, while USA has "BioShock", "Mw2" and "Halo" It started on the quality of games then you said "CoD" was fun, in which I proved to you it was just another shooter, with basic shooter features, nothing unique. USA is full of devs who are more excited about the money then the fun of creating.

Back on track, FPS games in general are uncreative, they just let you shoot stuff and get cool guns, that's what they do, and that's what makes them fun, running around, getting cool stuff, and killing things, that's it.

Not many new, other than guns, air support, and graphic changes. FPS games can be creative, like S.T.A.L.K.E.R. , Cryostasis, The Void, You Are Empty, and Pathologic.

It is for PC, it was called Tension in Russia, re-released as The Void in English. It's most conveniently located off Steam, I highly recommend you play it without watching me first, so long as you have a look afterwards!

@CannibalK9 For precision's sake it was called Turgor (Тургор) in Russia, Tension when it was first released in Europe and finally The Void on its international re-release with much improved English translation, more localizations, new events and streamlined storyline & dialogs, something of a "enhanced edition" or director's cut from the original.
