you can find them in the junk yards, look for older 850s, the manifolds are a bit more massive, one way to see its a VVIS is to look for linkage and shaft that open and close the flaps.
Sick. well you should do it. i got a 94 850 5spd N/A and i am looking to do with my car what you have done with yours, few more hp. it's already sitting on ipd sport springs and Bilstein HD's and 16 inch '98 V70R Rims!
@NorkiddExo The exhaust piping are the same, the NA is like 1.75- inches and the turbo one is like 2.3 inches wide, the only thing you have to do is cut right where the Cat ends so the turbo exhaust can fit where they connect. Also you have to have the two joints from the turbo so you can use to weld the joint to the Cat....you will see if you end up doing it.
Revving sounds like a turbo hahah. I've got a 98' S70 with 60,000 k's. Hey try using a smooth round pipe going from intake housing to tb, auto box oil cooler with fan and also relocating the horns down lower for more air flow on radiator. But hey you've done everything I can think of. Rear wheel power with auto should be at least 150 hp if its a 2.5 badged (2.4 motor).
@spanky1122 LOL i have a manual sitting in my kitchen with every part i need to swap it. But iv been a lil lazy and busy with work and all to try and swap it.
Rarely see a modded N/A motor. Was the ECU upgrade worth it? Looking at doing somethings to my N/A S70 for cheap, rather than get a turbo and deal with higher gas prices and so forth. How much power are you putting out?
@baka86 hey ...well it only cost like 250 bucks, to tell you the truth i cant say if i can FEEL a difference because we did other mods at around the same time and didn't keep record of power gain. We have done one mod on the car after all the mods on this video that we can say we can really FEEL power at low and mid rpm range (2k.4k RPMs) we installed the VVIS (Volvo Variable Intake System). Let me know what u think.
Excellent car, but a word of caution about revving a cold engine like that - not good at all. Other than that, I really like the deep growl of straight5 engine. Keep up the good work.
Hey how many miles does this car have? I own the exact same car, all stock, with the same color, but mine is a 1996, and it has a beige interior. I have 89k original miles on it, but unlike your car, I only take mine out on sunny days. And it has never seen snow either (I live in VT).
@decripple Thank you for you comment! itb's, i wsh i had the money...but this weekend were going to install Volvo Variable Induction System to improve the low end power! Stay tooned!
wow sounds like u did alot of mods to that volvo, I would be glad to see a vid on the preformance specs, hope you keep us up dated.... thnx for sharing
You should rub some Armor-All into the grey bumper trim; I did it with mine and it made the trim look brand new (almost black, and shiny).

Also with engine timing did you advance or retard it (Cam belt I mean)
NorkiddExo 10 months ago
@NorkiddExo it was advanced like 2 dagrees, gives it a bit more power in the lower rpms..

Also how'd you get the exhaust to fit up?
