Wayne Dyer. King of spin? Perhaps. But that's what many of us need. Some call it spin, but others (like me) call it hope. Many times what Dr. Dyer has to say is obvious, but what Dr. Dyer has done that others have not is to put his teachings into a context that you can apply immediately. Dr. Dyer will be the first to admit that he doesn't always live up to what he teaches, and he uses himself as an example of how easy it is to fail. But that shows he is human, just like the rest of us.

Wayne is such a likeable guy. Love his stuff. He provides the real principles...he does fall down on the concepts of pure surrender to pain human beings need... to get to freedom. Wayne was abandoned and I don't know that he has felt all of that. Real connection to source lights up when people feel they are out of options. Speaking of that reality is the bedrock ( as per in AA). Wayne strays too often from this bedrock....but it is there at some level in his message.

Here's the "truth". If Jesus was here today, he wouldn't be a "christian" either. Over the millenia, man has distorted and manipulated Jesus' message for his own purpose: power and control. A life examined will produce free-thinkers like Dyer. That is the ultimate purpose--think for yourself, examine and question everything. Only then can you be who you really are.

I never realized he wasn't a Christian but his book helped me anyway. I had bleeding ulcers and was depressed adn after reading his book--I overcame these things and made me self confident. May God Bless this man anyway--Let God be the Judge

God loves all mankind. In one of him books he mentions that he is striving to be more like Jesus rather than being like a Christian, more like Budda, and less like Buddist, more like Mohammed and less like a Muslim.

Think about that. God loves us all!

However, He will not give peace and eternal happiness to anyone who refused to recognize Jesus as the only begotten Son, and accepts his free gift of salvation, He wants none to perish, but, perish forever in Hell is exactly what you will do without Jesus. Yes, I totaly agree - the world can't tolerate that kind of thinking any longer. We need to change and move forward. In the meantime - we have to remember that shaolin guy (and many others) has his own responsibility and freedom to chooose what to do in his life.
