  • do you have to plug the speakers in or

  • is this guitar plugged in to a speaker?

  • @mrmyfingershurt No, it is just me playing in my office. Our house is entirely concrete (even the walls) and has hardwood floors. The only furniture in this room when I recorded this song was the desk behind me and the chair I was sitting in.

  • Freekin' awesome! <3

  • People like you are my heroes. Taking the time to learn this amazing art form and loving every second of it. I wish I had the same patience as all of you amazing people.

  • Amazing performed song. Greetimgs from Swiss

  • Learning to play this by ear is like learning to be a carpenter when you're blind.

  • Nice cover and guitar too :)

  • @ChristopherChandra Thank you!

  • So... you just played the song...? Nothing added? Great...

  • @Cavin8r yes.

  • how did you learn this?

  • Awesome~ really great cover of Deuling Ninja. Everything i really nice and clear.

Is your Taylor 314ce a full solid or just solid top?? And how do u record to clear? using mics?

  • wow you like green :)

  • CHEEEEERRSsss!!!! girl u play amazing congratulations beautiful song you choose

  • Amazing really inspiring cover. Peace out From New Zealand.

  • i'm impressed! he's incredible. and you did a really reallly awesome job. thats gotta be hard. and i like the green. :)

  • wow well done :)

  • Dueling ninjas is much much easier than it looks. I thought I was gonna have a hard time on it buy nahh...

I struggle with the harmonics though =/

  • within a min and thirty seconds it kinda sounded like canon

  • very very good *-* girl rock \,,/

  • whats your guitar ?

  • @calmicky Garbage................It's broken. I have a Taylor 314CE now.

  • @CaseytheNinja20 nice choice

  • @CaseytheNinja20

That looks a bit like a westtone?

  • hey, you keep pretty good time! well done.

  • The stamina in your lefthand here is pretty impressive, not to mention the touch.

The righthand was a bit on the heavy side, but when you get a new guitar get it professionally set up so that you can use a lighter touch thanks to lower action.

Btw, I'm a guy who uses his pinky a lot in the normal course of playing, but I don't do hammer ons or pull offs with it. So stick with what is comfortable for you.

  • by far the best version of dueling ninjas cover on youtube

  • Thank you!!

  • You rock girl!!

  • Very Very good! Trace Would be proud:)

  • wow. i have never seen a girl play that well. lol. not to say that there arent anygood female guitarist tho

  • casey, ur mom just came into my room because she was helping my dad with the t.v.. she saw that i played a little guitar and showed me ur video on youtube. told me you just started playing 3 1/2 years ago. you're ridiculous!!! that's absolutely amazing, you're truly blessed. go girl.

  • That was Awsome!!!

  • never saw anything so beautiful.

  • It's gonna take a while to pull my jaw back into normal state. :) May I ask how you did the harmonics starting from about 2:27?

  • the harmonics is the easiest part.

  • @kennethdrozario1 NO, they aren't, they don't make any sense, all i see is her poking them....i don't see her plucking them with her thumb, while pulling her finger off at the same time...thats a traditional and natural harmonic....which is NOT what she is doing. I want to know how to the harmonics like that, they don't make sense to me right now.

  • @ZachNeiman I am plucking them with my thumb while pulling my index finger off at the same time. I have really short fingernails so I use the pads of my fingers which can sometimes make it appear different.

  • You just lay your index finger over one of the harmonic nodal spot places and pluck the string with your thumb.

  • wow...when you got into the song after the opening slow part my jaw dropped...very awesome, it be hard to tell this from original by sound alone...*****

  • best chick guitar playin ive ever seen in my entireee life. well done

  • nice!!!!

  • kool! ur guitar is pretty good too! Sound just like him! keep on! xD

  • Unfortunately that guitar is now broken :( I'm waiting to graduate so I can buy a new one so I can post more videos. Thanks for watching/commenting!

  • Awesome!

  • Thank you!

  • Wow. Really strong fingers.

  • Fantastic! Amazing video. Five Stars.

  • Damn girl... you rock! and i bet you'd be safe on st. patties day :p

  • Hahaha! I never thought of that.

  • OMG, your so freaking amazing!!!

How long have you been playing for? :)

  • Great. But work on your fingering.

    We have pinkies too ;)

  • My pinky's not strong enough to hammer on and pull off that rapidly for such a long time. :) Great vid.

  • yeah, hes right. pinkies would make playing this a lot easier

  • When I started playing this song, I tried using my pinkies and I found that it sounded better when I didn't use them. Either way, I am always up for a challenge and I'm not too concerned with fingering when it comes out sounding fairly decent.

  • oh im not saying it sounds bad. cuz its rly good. its not gonna sound any different if you use ur pinky, its just that it'll make it easier to play. and it'll look a little cooler lol :)

  • Although I use my pinkies more now than I did when I first made this video, I still don't use them during the main part of the song because the fingering is only 2 frets apart, but I see what you mean. The guitar that I am using in this video is now damaged beyond repair (I'm going through guitar withdrawal) and I'm waiting on a new one. I'll have to post some new updated videos. Thanks for watching/commenting!

  • great job, one of the best covers ive seen of this song, if not the best ...check out my cover. i havent mastered the pinch harmonics yet, but let me know what you think..cheers

  • omg great

  • waw! gg c'est très impressionnant!

  • short hair and good job!

  • My god. That is amazing man!!!! I am inspired, I kid not! Great work!

  • Thank you!

  • perfecto tocas muy bien

  • Oooh Now i understand how to play the harmonics :D

    Thanks alot =]

  • how do you get so much volume only by pull-offs and hammer-ons? Do you use an amplifier??

  • Nope just playing by myself. I am in a room with concrete walls that has no carpet in it which probably adds to volume. My finger tips also have really hard callouses on them so playing really loud doesn't hurt.

  • cool! have you ever played at one world?

  • Nope, I've actually never really played in front of anybody.

  • I don't play live either. I play on my videos but that's about it. Do you play by ear or can you read music as well?

  • Play by ear

  • WOW!!! wtf! I am overwhelmed once more.. love the playing.. keep it up

  • wow....that was gr8 :D i love this song...i'm lerarning it myself..but it will take a wile till i'm as good as you i can tell.....5 stars:D

  • great job! i'm trying to master this now, and this is awesome. you did a good job getting the notes to sound clearly (which is really irritating). just curious, how much practicing did this take you?

  • cool

    i'm surprised that it's a girl

  • wow, what an ignorant comment.

  • you're a beast!

and i mean that in a good way.

  • Yeah well maegrol, if you play electric guitar or just steel-stringed guitars quite often, it doesn't hurt that mutch after a while..^^

But i think anyway, it sounds better on a half accoustic with nylon strings, cause on the steel-strings it just sounds so screeching..^^ Though your playing is really nice, congrats, and i like the greencombination too..^^

    Keep on doing it!

  • w-o-w- and the playing is also amazing

  • Sounds Good, do you like green or something?

  • haha lmao. she's good though.

  • Awesome! I see you're playing this on a steel string guitar... doesn't that hurt your fingers? I mean to me it's painful playing normal songs on steelstrings... but this one?? Respect! Nice color combination by the way and the pose in the end of the video is fantastic! :) Greetings Maegrol

  • cool i like it. you rock!!!

  • wow. thats damn impressive, some good work w/ legato and pulloffs on an acoustic are much harder than elec.

  • Great :)

  • Guauuuuuuuuu....

  • Great :)
