As for Nietzsche, his rule still proves true, though altered in today's vastly different society. In this case, the power structure is indeed working to a specific end, neglecting truth, and majority opinion on the matter has nothing to do with it. In this way, opinion is here isolated from the corruptive nature of power.

Are we fighting terror? Tell that to the citizens, the souls who have seen more terror in single days than our nation has ever experienced since the civil war. Tell that to the hundreds of thousands of dead civilians. Tell them that we are fighting their war, that we are doing them right, that our hearts are pure.Tell them that we are there to help, as we rebuild the nation we tore from them in the first place.

Also, we did a lot of good things there. I escorted non-infantry guys up to Tagi, Iraq to install irrigation systems for farmers crops, guarded hospitals while millions of dollars in medical supplies were given out, and brought space heaters and blankets to orphanages in the winter. A show of hands for everyone here who served on the front lines of both wars three times .....No one but me??? Tonight there is not a race to rape little girls before U.S. soldiers do, and anyone who thinks that way obviously isn't very intelligent. In my opinion there is nothing better than america. This is my home, it's where I grew up, and where I will live my life. As for the war, oil is not worth it. I understand fighting terrorism, but if we are doing the same thing they did (bombing, causing fear) how does that make us any better than they are. Their country is way older than ours, and if the women want help they will fight for it, like we did, and still do. As for the rape, there is no time when that is right, or should be excused.

At some points I was angry and then I realized that I wasn't angry at the poet, I was angry at the denial ...that so many of us don't want to see what is really going on....We can't fight terrorism like this...it just doesn't make sense. I've heard that troops wil begin leaving Aphganistan next year....Please God we emplore you to have them leave NOW.....We need to get that hope back into America and this is not the path down that road.
