mine does that too but its right b4 i go into the cut sene where zack goes on a date with aerith in the park. i click yes lets go to the park and then.... black screen and turns off plz help
did u check that ur UMD ISO mode was set to "sony NP9660 -No UMD-"? if not... u can access that through the recovery menu or hit select on ur XMB menu... bring up a screen... scroll down to UMD ISO MODE and hit right (-->) button 2 times... and then go down to exit... then try again...
Click the recovery icon and while the psp is turning back on, hold R and you will go to the recover menu. Find the Use No Umd, I think that is under configuration, and disable it. Reboot the psp and place in a UMD. Play the iso and it should work.
Happened to mine just a sec ago...it said it couldnt read source of file, but then after a while I just extracted it from the winrar file straight to ISO folder and now it works.
Im running it on 3.90 M33 but the cutscenes are a bit jumpy...I might downgrade to 3.71 or 2.71...which ever one I heard works with ISO's best.
its not slow cuz u have too much stuff on ur mem card, it might be because 3.90 is unstable on phats or most likely its a bad rip, try getting another file, mine runs excellent, no lag or nothin on 3.71 m33-4
i bought it, made an iso and tried playing it on my psp with cfw 3.71 m33-4. i saved the iso to the ms, and it works fine, but anytime i save the file its corrupted, is there a solution for that it wont even save if i play it with the umd inside.
I have PSP 1000 :P 5.50 GEN-D3 ... ALL GAMES WORK but Crisis Core Hangs in the middle of the story then black screen then turn off.... any solutioN?

Ok I found out why it would not play with original disk or backup
Apparently there was a fault with my psp PHAT wich resulted in it disliking some games Had to go out and buy a slim to play it on instead
