  • Sorry mister, but Im truly ofended by you calling this piece of art "UGLY", seriously great job

  • Well thought out, awesome smoker, only changes I would make are...

    1. trap door to ad more fuel to the basket (ie. coal, wood)

    2. A water tray (maybe take the last two rows just above the coal basket)

Imho, a great smoker. but needs refinement. Good luck. Im just to lazy to build one.

  • The one dislike was from George Foreman.

  • Bad ass. Bet it works great. Nice adjustable height technique.

  • Nothing ugly about it, very nice...great work!

  • Awesome work!!!

  • I'd put a temp auge in center of lid, the spot where yours is will read about 15 - 25 degrees hotter than where the meat is at. I did this and was surprised at the different temps, helped me know when to adjust the vents. It sure looks great though, nice rig! I keep my expanded metal racks oiled and seasoned with canola like an iron skillet every so often to prevent rust.

  • how do you add more coal

  • dham looks like you went all out for this one! nice

  • nice tools and jigs...

  • CAN I BUY ????

  • how do you add fuel during cooking?

  • well done. i like your bending Jig which im about to copy haha :p

    very informative vid too

  • I really liked 2 things about your design-

The hook on the lid (really smart) and the extension on the valve handle so you dont have to bend over all the time. Really user friendly.

  • No doubt.. Best I have seen!! Great work

  • You need to play "The Imperial March" from Star Wars when doing the end credits...

  • That is great. Keep up the good work.

  • Hands down the best UDS Ive seen. Great job.

  • Thats awsome! I want one too!

  • i want 1

  • I mean make the AWESOME shelves.. the rest of the smoker I can take care of. Do you have a video to post of it in action??? Sure there are lots of us who would love to see it. :-)

  • THANKS SO MUCH FOR POSTING! Your are very creative and skilled! Tip my hat to you! Looks FANTASTIC... just posted on Craigslist to see if there are any local welders/fabricators in/near Austin TX that can make these for me. Anyone who is reading this that can do so, let me know!

  • Well Done!

  • What does the U stand for? Ugly doesn't do it for me in this case. A beauty!

  • The Best one I have ever seen, Great Job!

  • One word GORGEOUS

  • Love the racks!!! Good looking UDS, great craftsmanship too.

  • how do you add wood to your smoker without removing all the racks? great craftsmanship though....

  • A UDS can supply over 12 hours of heat without adding fuel

  • Mike & Doug that was a great video! The ideas that are coming out for the UDS's are just endless. Your's is quite impressive to say the least, hopefully U guys do one on your madian cook so we can see that gal in action.

Thanks for posting your work and ideas.
