Red having the 13 number is just coincidence, I don't believe it has any relations to sephiroth or the other 12 people either. It's just his experiments(although it's been stated those other 12 in Nibelheim did get Jenvoa/mako shit injected in them).

As for the battle square, it's very possible to beat that without ribbon. While ribbon is a great accessory for this, it's also a double edge sword when you lose the accessory ability in the handicap.

you can get a second ribbion in the ice caves or mountains or whatever when your heading to the northen crater if you found it anyways lol

@Resobaso yeah i know what you mean i played X and for a time kept saying auron in stead of vincent, 8 never played but i saw a buddy play it looks too complecated than X or X2, i dispise 9 due to the fact that i couldnt get past the first boss and had to start over about half a dozen times.
