omg thesong is true by far cause im always getting nervous and scared going to do tricks and stuff, and because im nervous/SCARED i always miss something and dont land it
@NYCmadeME it takes forever to load with some peoples computers, so a love intro gets really annoying when you have to wait forever for the actual video, so fs360man has a really good point
@MrKhobson24 it's to learn how to spin. yeah 180's are easy, but it's an essential building block of learning to spin wakeboarding. gotta learn for a 5 or a 9 anyways.
From my experience for those of you that are learning, These are my main steps for learning wake to wake 360:
When you approach the wake, really pop as high as you can, and pull hard on the handle to get that slack and rotation. The key to this trick is your take off, everything else falls into place. if you are landing on your back, perhaps you are leaning on your heal edge too hard when cutting in. Let the board plain out when hitting the wake.
The difference with the rope attacked to the tower is that you get more height, if the rope can go higher then so can you. If the rope is lower you won't go anywhere.
i use a jet ski, but when you don't have a tower, the rope sometimes hits the water wich can make you fall, but for me it hardly happens so you don't need one
I rode behind a decked out nautique at camp a few years ago with a tower for first time, and it is soo sick! as soon as you pop up the wake it's like being on the moon, gravity just melts away, you go so much higher, and your tricks are way more clean! so sick, I would recommend one if your boat can handle it
i went wakeboarding today.. i've been having trouble landing the 360 so far because before this summer i never tried spins on wakeboarding only other thing i'd done was rollerblading and i spin the opposite directions which makes it difficult, good news is i landing it for the first time :) i definately don't have wake to wake 180's down though.. not perfect riding switch, which is regular cuz im goofy stance
been snowboarding a lot this season, and i've got pretty stable 360's (after about 10 trips.. ha) now and hope to transfer that to wakeboarding this summer:)
learning a handle pass is easier toeside but landing is not as natural or easy (remember finding toeside wake2wake much harder than heelside). opposite for HS - handle pass much trickier but landing is easy once you have the handle and spot the landing.
You can also try them wrapped to help you delay initiating the spin and spot the landings if you find the handle pass hard.
yeah i guess in my experience, TS jumps didnt take me that long to get the hang of, alot of people have trouble with them though, but yeah i prefer to do 3's TS.
Natural feeling spins depend on the person. I learned mine heelside. I still havent tried toeside, probably because I'm not completely comfortable with my toeside jumps, I only clear the wake 75% of the time right now.

why do you have to have a 180 down if you're landing differently. Makes no sense don't listen to that part it doesn't help.

is it a bad idea to do it one handed... is there a high chance for your shoulder to dislocate.. i know its possible but is it a high chance???
teir525 2 years ago
depends on your shoulders, I've never dislocated my shoulder. Landing one handed is fine.

Can someone tell me the difference of being towed by a boat with a tower (rope is attached to the tower) than a boat without?
Megadeth4242 2 years ago
big difference.. tower the rope is attached higher in the air. and it kinda of pulls you up. makes you go way higher. and further

TS frontside is probably easier, because its a more natural feeling spin
