What Avi never mentions is that the reason Russia's assets were sold off for so cheap is because A. The communist hard liners were attempting to bankrupt the emerging democracy by holding the purse strings.
B. The communist were busy intimidating anyone who could help prop up failing infrastructure, again to bankrupt the new economy.
So what happens the assists get sold off to those with political connections and mafia protraction. There is more but this isn't a flaw with Free markets.
No it doesn't but to be honest explaining the nuances of the Russian asset sales in the early and mid 90s can't be written in 500 characters. What Avi doesn't realize is that the system he and his wife espouses creates a much more stratified and top heavy business sector. Also his wife simply makes up facts in her books but who needs silly details.

Pretty much bullshit. I'd explain but Russian history is sort of complicated and 500 characters doesn't really cut it.
