But I can tell you even though Gaeta betrayed Adama, Adama did not see satisfaction in his death. Zarek had always been in it for himself, where as Gaeta was in it to serve the well being of the fleet. His story was a tragedy, and although I know he had to be executed, I don't think he should simply be remembered by the traitorous actions that he made. He was looking out for the fleet through his own eyes, where as Zarek was on a fraking power trip.
@FORTYSHIPS Adama was looking out for the Fleet. Adama was, by far, the better man and the better commander, able to look past hatred and look at the big picture.
I'm not arguing that, all I'm saying is that Gaeta did the wrong thing for the right reasons and that Zarek did the wrong thing for the worst reasons. Adama would have been shot on the spot if Gaeta hadn't been right on Zarek's case about it.
@Ares99999 you missunderstood me. I agree that there was nothing good about the mutiny. I also agree that the rebel cylons became great allies. All I was saying was that Gaeta did what he did because he genuinely believed it was right for the people, even though it wasnt. Zarek did what he did specifically to gain power, and take advantage of the fleet-wide hatred of the alliance with the cylons. And you can bet your ass that if he had gotten his way, eventually he would have gotten rid of gaeta

I agree with your stance for the most point.
