It wont mess your motor up, its just a tune.

@Lakeron yes you are right, the manual transmission is the only think Ford fucked up in this vehicle, my brother had the 5.0 w/ manual and he hated it, he later found out it was a factory defect, it was free to replace b/c it was still with waranty but he ended up trading it for subaru wrx w/ manual. that's why I got automatic and plus I drive it every day so I will get tired of shifting constantly. u still get tons of power, it's my beast
From the looks (and sound lol) that thing has a muffler delete system, like SLP loudmouths or something. I didn't see any mufflers where the stock ones go anyway.
I just got a 2011 in the same color the candy apple so hot ! Only thing is I gotta tell you the saddle and black interior I got is WAY nicer than yours. But nice video.

Even the new 2011 Dodge Challenger SRT8 392 6.4L with 470hp can't beat the 5.0 Mustang. It does 0-60 in 4.6 sec, and the quarter mile in 13.0 sec. The 2011 Mustang GT 5.0 does 0-60 in 4.4 sec, and the quarter mile in 12.7 sec.

And if you YouTube MotorTrend and CarAndDriver's review's on the GT, you'll also see them get 12.7 and 12.8 sec on the 1/4 mile.

Car and Driver did 0-60mph in 4.5 sec, ¼ mile in 12.9 sec @ 114mph. Both admitting to achieving faster times with the 5.0 Mustang in their reviews. I haven’t seen a test drive from Road&Track yet. So I assume you’re talking about Edmund’s Insideline.

@svt89 Yes, it’s true, Edmunds was able to achieve 0-60mph in 4.2 sec, ¼ mile in 12.6 sec @ 112.1mph. But it also stated that they achieved this time from a 1-foot rollout which is a rolling-start velocity of 3-5 mph and shaving the 0.3 second it typically takes to cover that distance off their elapsed time (ET) in the process

@svt89 In Edmunds review of the ’11 Challenger SRT8 392, they also stated that their 0-60mph without a rollout was 4.5 sec, which is the same time as Car and Driver. If you read this elapsed time of 12.6 sec from another renowned car reviewer, please let me know. I’d be happy to read it and take back my words.

@svt89 Dude, didn't we go through this already...? Alright, according to Edmunds Inside Line you just said that the 392 SRT8 does a STANDING 1/4 mile in 12.9 seconds. Edmond's Inside Line could only do a best of 13.0 sec in the '11 Mustang. I've taken my Mustang to the track and I've done 12.8 sec multiple times with my car stock including stock tires. And if you YouTube MotorTrend and CarAndDriver's review's on the GT, you'll also see them get 12.7 and 12.8 sec on the 1/4 mile.

@svt89 Now I'm curious on where you're getting 12.44 from? Even with a rolling start, Edmond's Inside Line did 12.6 sec 1/4 mile, and a 12.9 from a stand still. And when I did 12.8 in my GT/CS I was on the stock 19" Pirellri's.

Favorite this video you're talking about and attach it in a YouTube email to me. And as far as forums go, people can talk about times they've done all they want. They can even show a video of their car doing whatever time, but who know's what's under the hood. I'm talking about a reputable source, something reliable.

You said that it has ALREADY BEEN PROVEN that a 392 SRT8 is faster than the GT 5.0, but I have yet to see reliable proof. So once again, if you happen to come across a reputable source that can do less than 12.7 or even less than 12.8 sec on the 1/4 mile in a stock 392 SRT8, please let me know. Until then, your case in my opinion is UNPROVEN.

@svt89 Seeing how I just happen to have an '11 Mustang GT with 3.73 gears, and I've done a 12.8 run in my car multiple times, and Edmond's Inside Line claims only a 13.0 at best, I can't really rely on their times for the GT. But I've never driven a 392 SRT8 and don't know anyone who has one yet, so I have not choice but to rely on their times for the SRT8 making a 12.9 sec 1/4 mile (which is the same that CarAndDriver achieved).
