Because Gwen loves what is unique & when she was in Japan, she saw the Harajuku district and was amazed at the individualism everyone there had, so he she is inspired by Harajuku's fashion. But Gwen did go through an Indian phase as well; she wore a bindi on her forehead because she dated her bassist Tony, whos of Indian decent. But I heard now she wants to incorporate an English image, because of her husband. Also she loves 1950's style and Jamaican music so they're also in her image.
