  • can someone please tell me which one is 8-ball?!...

  • @HughJass370 blake dude he was sick AF

  • @PlaYah1079 yes they do make wars secret, the c.i.a. does secret wars and they hire mercenaries

  • It should be called animal mothers rage

  • Would be sure nice if he had some grenades, don't ya think?

  • Ummm there is no way in hell you can keep a war secret..The US wouldnt even attempt it..

  • That man damages my calm.

  • this is what COD nerds would do in a real life scenario

  • 1:28, no reason so many people came back with ptsd

  • Oh my God, he just ran in!

  • favorite 80's movie next to scarface!

  • that charge by mother is a classic!

  • @BringBakRok No... if we had better generals and a smart president we would of made so much more progress and less US deaths.

  • ..."shit"

  • Fuck you cowboy, Fuck all you assholes!!

  • why the fuck americans lost the war?

  • @gangvn123 Because our stupid ass president pulled us out. We didnt lose the war we just were forced to leave by the government

  • @gaminghero47

So what should we have stayed there 30 years

  • @gangvn123 we lost because no one has ever been able to take over vietnam. Read the history books, China tried to for over a thousand years. The french tried to 100 years before the us vietnam war and they fucked up so bad thats why we had to go in to try to fix the shit mess the french created. Its hard to fight guerrilla warfare.

  • @SEALwarmachine incredibly harder actually. most people would rather fight 200 men charging straight than 15 in the jungle, in their own territory.

  • @Wangpi3ce I would anyway

  • @SEALwarmachine I'm sorry to butt in but the reason The United States invaded vietnam was because the U.S. CIA saw the political stuff between the then North & South Vietnam as a so-called threat to Americas economy, they secretly sent in the marines & accidently screwed things up, it's a known fact, the rest of the world wasn't meant to find out about vietnam, it was meant to be a secret

  • @gangvn123 First of all it wasn't a war, it was a military conflict...and we didn't lose to the vietcong, we were actually giving them a beating. Around a million vietcong militants were killed (not including the millions of civilians, who very well could have been civilians by day and vietcong by night) as opposed to the 58,000 soldiers we lost. We decided to pull out because the public was against military occupation in vietnam, but I think we could have won if we really wanted to.

  • at 1:52....i'd have stayed there for like forever. Damn snipers!!

  • bullshit!!!!!!!

  • the best scene of the movie. Adam Baldwin is really great

    Go Animaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaal

  • Great scene I haven't watched in years ... once as a teenager. I wasn't counting just now but he seemed to discharge an awful lot of bullets from his m60 while wearing the bandoliers which do look cool

  • so good

  • Animal mother is pissing straight testosterone

  • @pupentaco hah - yeh there's a reason it's a Schedule III substance

  • Comment removed

  • @paintballer4life105 If I ever get to see you out there, I'll make sure to bring a video camera with me ; )

  • @pupentaco haha sweet. next popular video on youtube "animal mother charge in afghanistan"

  • @paintballer4life105

    Good way to get killed.

  • @mkhedart0mt0avari Ahem. MARINE!!!!

  • Animal Mother is fucks snipers like a BOUS!!!

  • Adam Baldwin was awsome in the movie Serenity!

  • at 0:02, how everyone is standing reminds me of an actual picture that was taken during the Tet offensive. Go to yahoo and type in tet offensive

  • lol...squad leader looks like cole phelps

  • @themedlins27 now 5 didn't.

  • LOVE MOTHER! Well done, Adam and crew!!! <3

  • grandissimo Animal, il migliore fra tutti! E grande anche Rafterman

  • I love how this film showed the gritty urban combat of Vietnam and not the jungle combat like in every other 'nam flick before it.

  • @sneegro

Exactly. Hue was a major battle during the Tet offensive.

  • it seems like they used really underpowered blanks for the film considering the muzzle flashes at the beginning of this scene.

  • LEEROY!

  • Animal lover is an unbeleiveable badass.

  • LOL,i love at 51 seconds, when cowboy says ''goddamnit'' to himself.Arliss howard was really great in this film, and was superb during the entire sniper segment. He's really convincing as just a young scared marine, way in over his head, and not prepared to lead.

  • is it just me or didn't you find this scene hilarious ?

  • i want that gun that animal mother has

  • @420grizzdipper m60 machine gun or the pig

  • @MrOCAHM

    M60 IS the pig!

  • @420grizzdipper the m60 "pig"

  • i knew a guy online..delta force fps back in the day. he called himself doc j and 8 ball-lol..

  • why did 8ball have to die he was fuking bad ass

  • Whys hes name Animal Mother, doesnt makes sence nor does his helmet I am become death.

  • @Theguido177

The name signifies he is a crazy mother fucker. "I am become death" is a phrase that was used by J. Robert Oppenheimer in an interview to describe his creation of a weapon of mass destruction; Oppenheimer is known as "the father of the atomic bomb".

  • @Bashgore Thank you very much mate!!

  • I made a machinima animation about this movie__ /watch?v=Rfdm7S3y-II

  • Animal mother is the baddest motherfucker in the world!

  • thats the jayne cobb i know

  • I'm surprised the M60 didn't jam with him not even feeding the belt, just running and shooting... oh well, just a movie.

  • Old M14 web sling on that M60. That brings back memories. Kudos to the technical advisor for that one.

  • Home of the brave, and home of the tough, Semper Fi "Always faithful" and that's no bluff! They're mighty and true, they protect our freedom for me and you. Honor Courage and commitment is what they're taught to do. It's all about protecting the red, white and the blue! Marines will never retreat, break or bend, they're ready to fight, attack and defend. Marines will never retreat break or bend, They won't leave a brother behind, they're ready to fight and defend again and again..OoH Rah! Marines til the very end!

  • Fuck you motherfucker!!!!!!!! wowowowow!!!

  • 3 people didn't saw sniper

  • marines wouldnt act like this. green army infantry maybe, but marines are smarter than how they were portrayed in this movie.

  • @thawhiteflip im glad im not the only one who sees how totally unrealistic this scene is. Also, how the fuck does an untrained teenage girl pick off marines from several hundred yards away with sniper precision using an AK 47 with iron sights?

  • @Joker3797 It's not an AK47, it's a VZ 58. Huge difference. I can tell you're some COD kid that thinks the whole world is based around how a video game portrays guns.

  • @007sarodim Actually no, Im not some COD kid, COD sucks ass. Oh no, i guess i destroyed my credibility there huh, im not an expert so im sorry for the mistake in gun type. Do you always make assumptions about people you dont know? The point i was trying to make is that a teenage girl with minimal to no training would not be able to pick off marines like that from several hundred yards away with that precison using just iron sights. Why would the marines keep running into her line of fire?

  • @Joker3797 Actually they are very accurate.... Also in real life a bullet in the right spot can kill you.... So its realistic... I wonder why those Hadjis in Afghanistan and taking us out with fucking antique weapons and they are kids so don't even start... Cod Kid lol

  • @usjta lol im not a cod kid you fucking retard Really a bullet in the right spot in real life can kill you? DUH. So it is realistic that an untrained girl with iron sights has the marksmanship of a trained sniper? Oh yeah and marines would really keep running into the line of fire of a sniper instead of going around a different way. Platoon is better than this, Oliver Stone was actually there, unlike Kubrick.

  • @Joker3797 the original author is gustav hasford. who was a marine. and is a veitnam vet. in the book there is a sequence where a sniper takes shots and the marines sweep the area with tanks. they find out when they kill her she is a little girl. there is another sequence where the squad is in khe sahn and there is an unseen sniper taking a bunch of them out. but they never get him...kubrick combined the two seperate sequences into this scene...the book is better than the movie.

  • @CAallday209 I have not read the book but its on my reading list now, should be interesting. The book is usually better than the movie, lol Jurassic park the book was better and so was The Lord of the Rings.

  • @Joker3797 the book is out of print. i recieved a copy as a gift. and am lucky for it. there is also a sequal. which is friggin nuts. (joker goes on a pretty hairy adventure in that one) theyre posted on the net for your reading pleasure. and even though the books are a work of fiction (well, semi-fiction) i think it portrays us pretty accurately.

  • @Joker3797 ...our attitudes anyway.

  • @Joker3797 Actually, fairly easily. The Vietnamese had been fighting for years and it is not unrealistic to think a girl from a war-torn country could shoot. My daughter can hit a grapefruit at 100 m with an open sight .22, she's 14. I see that the gun description has been addressed.

  • @Toddinfantry lol yes it has. But would the marines really keep running into the line of fire of the sniper instead of going around a different way?

  • @Joker3797 What you saw was one Marine on recon getting hit to draw out others. The Corpsman responded as is his will and training. Then the rush by Mother. That is only two ppl getting into the line of fire, the first Marine doesn't count. And yes, Marines sometimes have to get into the line of fire, it's our job. Nothing in here is really unrealistic. Remember, the unit was preparing to pull out when the sniper engaged.

  • @Toddinfantry after watching the whole movie again i see it a little bit differently. At first inmpression it seemed a little bit of a stretch that she would have that good of placement of shots. I guess i just thought that the marines would try to flank, but looking at it again they did not know how many enemies there were, and i understand marines get in th line of fire to save comrades. I was questioning this scene before but after talking to a marine such as yourself, i see it differnetly

  • @Toddinfantry thanks for the insight and i am sorry if i made myself look stupid. At least you politely explained the scene to me unlike the other guy, so thank you for that. Oh, and thank you for your service.

  • @Joker3797 You did not make yourself look stupid at all, you asked an intelligent question, gave a legitimate reason for the question and looked for answers. You should get a "Well Done".

As to your question about flanking....Marines will flank a position to more effectively kill it, but you have to know roughly where the position is and then decide...will flanking help, will there be defending forces for the flank, can we even get to the position from the flank (tough in urban fighting) con't

  • @Joker3797 con't... and then all has to be coordinated so no friendly fire casualties. The speed at which this engagement developed didn't allow for flanking movements. IF Cowboy had control of his squad, a series of fireteam sized shoot and move would have laid down a base of fire and allowed the squad to move up. But Cowboy did not have control and the rest is a movie scene.

    Thank you.

    Semper Fi !

  • @Toddinfantry yeah, they did not know where the sniper was or how many there were. Enjoyable movie and thanks for the info. :)

  • @Joker3797 Anytime.

  • @thawhiteflip This is NAM not modern day... Both sides fucking went in to kill... so this movie is very accurate... retard.

  • @thawhiteflip How so? What is your experience in being a Marine or being in combat as a Marine?

  • @Toddinfantry I don't have any, but I do have a friends and family that served tours in Afghanistan as Marines. But would a Marine really do something as stupid as endangering the entire squad for someone that's sure to die?

  • @thawhiteflip Yes, that is part of being a Marine. You DON'T EVER desert your brothers. You see the Corpsman?? No questions there...a wounded Marine will be taken care of, even at the risk of his own life. I don't know how old you are or your background, so I will say this. You can't understand. Even if everyone you know is a Marine, you just can't understand through words.

Ask yourself this....would you want to lie in the sun, wounded, wondering. I joined the Marines so I wouldn't have to.

  • @Toddinfantry True, but you also don't obey an order from a CO. The sniper played Animal Mother. Definitely an interesting scenario -- I'm no military tactician, but I suspect there's a middle ground between Cowboy's "we're pulling out!", and Mother's "fuck it, I'm rushing in!". I'm a civilian, but here's my guess: #1, with two man shot, the squad knows the sniper's general position. Did they have RPGs, or other personal artillery? Fire at the target, then split into two flanks and move up.

  • @Toddinfantry Also, Mother charging with -- is that an M60? -- hmm. I gotta rewatch this so I can see what happens before and after, but basically...that sniper could have easily dropped him, no? She's already demonstrated her marksmanship -- the multiple nonlethal wounds to draw the squad out, right? Damn, I forget how it plays out. What would you have done, in the situation? (Cowboy's pull-out definitely seems limp, but I can't speak for whether that kinda thing was accurate.)

  • @occlusian Yes, it is an M-60. As Mother rushes the sniper might have been able to hit him, but that would be a very highly trained and disciplined sniper to be out of cover enough to shoot when lead is flying everywhere. Notice how Mother sprays the whole area and keeps on firing, bad machine gun use but necessary to keep the sniper pinned down. I explained in the first post what should have happened in response, but with no heroic charges my scenario doesn't make a good movie.

    Semper Fi !

  • @Toddinfantry talking about this scene,I just can't believe Cowboy exposed himself behind that building,I mean, I would not stand RIGHT by a hole on the wall, which allowed the sniper a clear shot(sorry for bad english),

  • @ksioamaral89 Your English is just fine. Many things happen in combat, especially when you are leader. Cowboy just lost his situational awareness. He was struggling hard with command, he had already lost control of his squad with Mothers charge and he was getting overwhelmed. Easy to do in combat. The real problem to me is that no one in his squad thought to pull him down into a covered position. Technical error or written that way is the question.

  • @Toddinfantry really makes sense what you said.

It's clear that it was made for storyline/plot purpose, but sometimes I forget it's a movie.

  • @ksioamaral89 That is good you forget it is a movie, means it's a good one.

    Semper Fi !

  • @Toddinfantry OORAH!

  • @ksioamaral89 I think that's kubrick's way of showing how absurd combat is.One minute you duck behind a wall, the next, because you have other things on your mind...you die.

  • @occlusian You are also correct that Cowboy's order to pull out was limp. He should have recontacted those that gave the pull out order and reported men down. Once they are secured, alive or dead, we'll pull back. No questions, no choices, no other mission.

  • @occlusian "obey an order from a CO"? Do you mean a corporal? If you are given an order from a corporal you damn well better obey it. There is no middle ground. Cowboy has lost control of his unit, he is scared to death to make a decision, and now you have two men down due to an unseen sniper. There is no middle ground for Marines. The answer is lay down a base of fire, using fire and maneuver, a series of fireteam sized shoot and move would have gotten you into the square where you con't...

  • @occlusian con't... can start the hunt for the sniper more on your terms. "Personal artillery" would have been M-79 grenade launchers and maybe the LAAW. Both very deadly in urban combat. Close in would be hand grenades.

I know you are a civilian so I appreciate your questions. I also know that you can't understand the Marine brotherhood. There is no way on God's green earth that Marines would let a wounded Marine and especially a wounded corpsman go untended without trying or dying. No way.

  • DOC 'J' AND EIGHT BALL ARE WASTED !

  • Humans were made by aliens. They bred aliens and monkeys and made us.

  • 2 people did not wanna get doc and 8 ball

  • Ever see Stanley Kubrick when they shot that bit where he charges at the building? He grins and says "Looked like something, didn't it?" Talk about an understatement!

  • You never see something like this in crappy overrated games like Call of Duty Modern Warfare...0:58

  • @SUPERBIREX Why are you thumnbing your own comments up? You're putting other peoples comments who are thumbed up by other youtubers out of the highest rated section which they deserve. It's a pretty shitty thing to do. Also, stop typing in caps locks, it's just stupid.

  • Comment removed

  • @SUPERBIREX I suggest you revise your basic grammar. A person didn't create air you idiot, a person didn't create a tree. Life is a cycle, the tree came from a seed which came from a tree etc. etc. But the origins of this are best explained through the big bang which is the best theory for the origins of the universe and of time. Also, scientists aren't wrong you idiot, they're scientists for a reason. Also stop putting question marks after sentences that aren't even questions.

  • "Fuck you cowboy! Fuck all you assholes!

  • In world war 3 i hope we get good soldiers like animal mother

  • 2 peaple own the building at 0:57

  • You Motherfucker! WHOOOO!!!

  • Animal Mother is such a fucking badass.

  • Animal Mother reminds me of Rambo with this scene.

  • Unleash The Casey! :D

  • Seriously one of the most insane things I've ever seen.

  • Lol am I the only one sitting here going "now would be a good time to reload" cause he wasted all of them and has what looks like only 20 rounds left in that ammo belt

  • he should tattoo badass on his forehead

  • A big machine gun and a machete, how can you be more badass?

  • @Galuche1L1U I wished we got to see him use the machete. I don't know. With Joker and Cowboy seeming to be the more intelligent ones, after all their talk, Animal Mother was the one who seemed to know what the fuck was really going on, and what he was doing. How the hell did Cowboy outrank him? He seemed kind of clueless compared to AM.

  • @spirittammyk

"How the hell did Cowboy outrank him? He seemed kind of clueless compared to AM. "

Welcome to the military chain of command. Most chains of command, actually.

  • @mwuu Yeah, I know what you mean. People in power really do not know what the fuck they are doing, in all walks of life, from head of the military, world leaders, Corp CEO's, managers, even down to the heads of a house hold sometimes.

  • the one person that disliked this video was duckjay

  • @ixlovexmayxmaple you mean docjay

  • @BMXnGaMeR My bad. Thank's for the correction

  • Wait.

At 1:52, how did the bullet hit the wall BEFORE we saw the sniper gun's muzzle flash?

Wouldn't that make the bullet faster than light?

  • @Acid2Rider its a continuity error

  • @Acid2Rider go ask your questions on a star trek convention or so like these comicbook guys from simpsons do

  • @Acid2Rider Muzzle flash doesn't happen with every shot. Since the sniper's weapon was automatic I think it's safe to assume that was several bullets and the flash happened on one other than the first. Why am I typing this?

  • @killthedonkey540 Yes it does. It doesn't matter if that was a single shot or a burst, every fired cartridge produces a muzzle flash. That was a goof.

  • @torukmakto4 No it doesn't. Search "slow motion rifle" and have a look. It wasn't.

  • @killthedonkey540 An automatic weapon caught on film may not appear to produce a muzzle flash on each round, but that's not because the flash isn't there, it's because the flash sometimes occurs while the shutter is closed. Look at the door gunner's M60 in the "Get Some" sequence. The flash and smoke appear intermittently due to the interference of the weapon's 8.33 Hz cyclic rate (500RPM) and the camera's 24 FPS. It doesn't matter anyway because that was a single semi-auto shot from the sniper.

  • @torukmakto4 That's what I meant. You know, Full Metal Jacket being a film and therefore being recorded with a camera and all. How do you know it was a semi-auto shot anyway? A guess, just as I guessed it was automatic fire rather than being a goof. Makes no difference anyway; Doc Jay and Eightball were wasted :(

  • @killthedonkey540 From the sound, it seemed like a single shot. The delay in the flash is obviously due to the bullet impact and the flash being separate effects squibs that were timed imperfectly (the flash may have actually been blank fire but it looked a little wonky in that shot). I suppose it might have been a 2-round burst, but the second round is never seen/heard to impact. The sniper obviously has enough control of the weapon to put that round somewhere nearby where we would notice.

  • @killthedonkey540 And yeah, it doesn't matter. Doc Jay and Eightball are wasted regardless, and none of those round(s) hit Animal as he edged out around the corner. It's a tiny goof that very few would notice in a film that is overall very high in quality.

  • mother is the original rambo

  • Animal Mother is a son of Chuck Norris and Calamity Jane...

  • Animal Mother is Techno Vikings son

  • @acclarks Damn I meant to say Animal Mother is Techno Vickings father

  • @acclarks Could be his son. Maybe techno viking is ageless.

  • The one person who disliked this video was the sniper.

  • The sniper made an account and disliked this video

  • @andy91091 ....And not 1 person made a TF2 joke yet...

  • @andy91091 its the cheesiest thing ever ... thats why i disliked it

  • @GazaMillar2010 The video or my comment?

  • @GazaMillar2010 this film ... saving private ryan is unbeatable

  • @GazaMillar2010 Saving Private Ryan is an ok movie but it is nothing compared to this movie.

  • @SpoilerAlert87 Its an opinion thing , personally i think Saving Private Ryan is better ...

  • @SpoilerAlert87 They weren't written for the same purpose; they're two entirely different wars, man. You can't compare Saving Private Ryan with Full Metal Jacket.

  • @andy91091 looks like he made another one just to make sure

  • animal mother is a true patriot!

  • 1 armed m-60 fireing now thats badass

  • this compared with real D-Day 1944 is a gay picnic

  • @Righter99

Oh what, so a single squad that has taken casualties up against a sniper they can't locate, makes this a gay picnic?

You're such an insensitive douchebag it's unbelievable.

    Grow up.

  • @Righter99 then perhaps you should get out on the frontlines of Iraq ASAP, because compared to that, I think sitting on youtube talking shit is a fucking gay picnic.

  • @Righter99

Being pinned down by a sniper with a Vz. 58 is a terrifying thing. and its not like they aim to kill one shot, they're trying to lure...Go experience that, Learn proper Grammar, and stop being such an asshole, then maybe you'll see that you couldn't handle something like this.

  • @Righter99 Not for the Marines involved. Remember-the Battle of Hue was never supposed to happen. Tet was never supposed to happen. Up until Hue-the only large scale unit actions (division and regimental sized) had taken place up near the DMZ and the Cambodian border. These Marines were expecting small unit actions in their sector. Instead-they got some of the most intense urban combat since WWII.

  • This scene is bogus. All exactly incorrect. Any Squad Leader could see their way through this. I know these guys are portraying draftees, but the characters KNOW they are up against a single sniper with perhaps enemy reinforcements on the way, or hidden nearby The movie even shows them attending patrol training.

  • They should have pulled that sniping cunt's eyes out and shoved them up her ass when they got in there.

  • @Carandini or raped her? :D

  • @unit529

First of all, rape is not cool, so what a stupid thing to say with a smile. And second of all, not many people besides you would want to rape a half-dead corpse.
