Congratulations, on your world trip and becomming Australian of the year. You've earnt it. You must have faced everything out there and to remain calm inside. You must have a very special ability. It's not that everyone has to go round the world alone (as you said!) but we all need that courage you found, to go through our own self made barriers. Congratulations again you're going to continue to inspire many people.
what an amazing achievement i was feeling so proud as i followed u back into the harbour on my boat. it was one of the best days ever! was getting some awesome pics of ur boat until we got kicked out by maritime patrol boats for getting too close... im 20 and way jealous of what uv'e done... thats cool im gonna follow my dreams and find my own way to prove myself ;) thanks so much jess!
Jessica watson is an amazing young lady..Inspiring and motivational to alot of people, myself included..Well done Jess your great!!and welcome home too..Im interested to see where you go from here..You deserve everything thats coming your way..Only the positives of course..A truly talented, gorgeous, couragous and unique aussie girl !!!
todays kids are about iphones and justine beiber. pls give this girl a break. awesomeness for doing an epic adventure. kids nowadays are stuck in psp xbox tvs. yep!
Well done jessica, what a bloody great effort. I have followed you every day via your web site its fantastic you completed it. YOU ARE THE YOUNGEST PERSON TO SAIL NON STOP AROUND THE WORLD UNASSISTED. Good luck with all that lies ahead. Maybe we will see you out there on the water some day.
This video is going to become a very special to many people in years to come , i just saw Jessica come home today 15/5/2010 on the TV and was blown away how you handled yourself Jess , to watch this video and to see you today with the celerbrations you are one of a kind you know excactly what you wanted to do , this video will inspire so many young girls or just about anyone with a dream, i think you are an inspiration to all Jessice Watson, enjoy your rest.

@Lisacd121 how did this girl manage to survive a whole year at sea without taking any stops to refuel, buy food if her supplies run out and have her water tank filled up with fresh water if it runs out? what about if she has to take a bath i didnt see a bath tub? lastly was there a boat with an experienced sailor infront of her to guide her so she dosent get lost at sea incase she has problems with her navigation system or if a storm damages her boat?
@zareh77 Well she was on a sailing boat that uses the wind which is free and only used fuel when there is no wind or when coming into port, there are so many ways you can compress and contain food that can last for months, i think she used a small potable filter that you can filter out salt and other microbes that would be drinkable, as for navigation she did it all herself , and that is the amazing thing about her just seeing this little dot in the middle of the Indian Ocean.

@Lisacd121 Well spoken ,i watched it live on tv too and think she is great..I liked how she apologised for being 2 hours late and said she was having too much fun and wasnt ready to come in yet..Jes Watson is awesome! and disagreeing with the Prime Minister..Gold !!
What a disgrace, her parents should be ashamed of themselves for letting a minor risk her life like this. This is all about greed, money and attention seeking. Very ugly indeed
@nagasthartin Yet, she proved to everybody that it doesn't matter your gender or age, anything is possible if you set your mind to it. Jess' parents obviously had a lot of faith in her and knew she was capable. Better her out there doing something she always dreamt of doing, and her parents supporting her every step of the way, than some teens who break laws, and who's parents who could care less about them. I don't think this is attention seeking or about greed.
so glad that you're home today (15/05/2010)..welcome home jessica watson
australia's very proud of you jess and you've inspired not only aussie teens but our generation in all over the world..hope you're gonna get used to live on the dry land..cheers
@woopgooey inspired us to achieve our dreams by working hard and put 110% contribution into it..she's proven it although so many people criticised her at first
@greenlassiejr911 i don't try to do my dream, i try to do something usefull. 100% is the max figure possible. and she was criticised because was useless and dangerous, even i knew she would do it.
@woopgooey i can see that u cant appreciate someone..do u think it's easy and simple for a 16 y.o girl to do that?maybe it's useless for u to do that but for her it means everything and she's made australia proud of her..u dont do your dream bcause your dream is useless..and i feel sorry for that..so lucky that so many people out there including me have useful dreams and we're trying to make em work
@greenlassiejr911 yess, everything is useless though, we'll all just hate going to school, get a job that we dont like, retire, die, then go to hell =/
@woopgooey yeahh that's your life..i dont hate school, i enjoy it although it's hard..i wanna get a job and being an useful person instead of complaining every time..life is only once so just try to make it works..and i wish u knew what hell looked like
What a disgrace, her parents should be ashamed of themselves for letting a minor risk her life like this. This is all about greed, money and attention seeking. Very ugly indeed
Great that she is back safe but this whole media circus does not set a positive example to other 16yro. Shame on the Australian Media for beating this up.
