Andre did some of his best acting in this video, he had a smug look and with complete and utter disdain for Hulk Hogan. The crowd backing Hogan and how utterly insignificant Andre looked at Hogan really made this a great match

4 years into his title reign and he was still equally if not more popular than when he won the title. Hogan will always be the most popular wrestler ever. This was a great time for feuds...unlike today

@1980Triumph Hulk pulled down tens and above in ratings on a regular basis. No other wrestler ever did that or ever will. He is the biggest TV wrestling draw ever and nobody will equal it.
But give credit to Andre. Hogan needed a foil to help him shine and that was Andre.

I didn't discredit Andre....where did you get that from. Just because I praise Hogan doesn't mean anthing towards Andre. Hogan vs Andre was epic, for those of us who lived during this time and watched it all unfold was amazing. Andre essentially did NWO before Hogan did NWO. Take your long standing character and completely flip the script. Credit was given to Andre in the way he acted in this match, he made it right along with Hogan

you know, this is why the Warrior can never match up to Hogan. Warrior beat every guy Hogan did but faster.......Hogan success can because he could sell the threat while Warrior couldn't.

They're pretty happy Andre won it. Andre deserved it. Wrestling was never bigger than it was then and Andre was a big reason for it. Just like the attitude era wasn't all about Austin, the golden era wasn't all Hogan's doing. Andre really helped make wrestling national.

You know i watch this, and i think to myself. How great all of these people really were. Heenan, Hogan, The Body on Commentary, then the Twin ref's. Not to mention Ted dibiase. The Whole Angel and build up was amazing. Thats the problem I think with wrestling today. No build-up. They expect you to pay 65 dollars for a PPV, that is just guys wrestling. The only good match was Shawn vs Taker. Im sad.
