It seems to be half a fake : made with an emulator. You can save whenever you want, so that you can try and try again the same part. I am capable of finishing Puch-out (very hard game !!!) whithout even beign hit !

Clearly you are cheating, finishing the levels at that speed gets you fireworks after you pull down the flag, no fireworks the entire time... Sometimes your jumps are too long and you should have not made it across the pirhana plants
