I kind of dislike how they have these nature shows like phython vs. alligators or something & they just film them illing each other when they sould have helped. Mom and I raised Jack, a blue-and-gold macaw out from an egg. We were planning on selling him but because of all the late night and early morning feedings we did by hand, we couldn't let him go. That chick was in a cage for a mature bird too early! They need a lot of warmth until all their feathers are out and really need to keep the baby clean of dribbled food or waste. No wonder that chick was sick. Mom and I always cleaned up Jack with a warm cloth and kept him inside the icubator until fed.
I agree with all of you, but at the same time think of all the people who wwatch this (and they tell people too) and then they wont buy birds from petshops or will also try and help, you never know, filming this and showing what will happen could help in the long term and save many more lives. poor animals, its disgusting

What's bothering me the most about this footage is the claim that the crop was being flushed with water. The syringe in this video contains formula to feed it, but I noticed that as the chick was pumping (which a chick is SUPPOSED TO DO) and that stupid woman said "No no" and didn't feed it. Was this footage after the crop was flushed and the chick was waiting to be fed? Why is there no actual footage of the crop being flushed? Looks to me like this stupid woman just didn't want to feed him.

Fish can be hard to care for. A lot of the time they arrive sick and we can only do as much as clean the tanks and provide medication through water. PetSmart does actually have a vet in to check the sick fish. I know I work at one. I am here to help save PetSmarts name! I used to believe all of this crap too so I decided to get a job at one and see if it was all true and its not! Yes some of the fish do die in the tank but that is due to an incurable disease among fish called ICH.

It's not all PetSmart stores that go through this company. I work for a PetSmart and all of our animals are healthy and happy. So they have obviously came from a different supplier. You just need to ask them where do you get your animals from when you want to buy a pet. You should ask this at any Pet store.

You shouldn't always blame the store. PetSmart requires Veterinarians to inspect facilities and sign off on health certificates. I worked for one of the Veterinarians that did this. They have to do inspections quarterly. Maybe the "Veterinarian" needs to be questioned as well. The one I worked for signed off health certificates and never saw ANY of the animals!

The person did try to get help for the bird. Even asked to adopt it. In one way it's very sad that the person "let" the bird die like that, but it's also a very important video to let the world see what's going on. It's a no win situation.

PetSmart does actually have a vet in to check the sick fish. I know I work at one. I am here to help save PetSmarts name! I used to believe all of this crap too so I decided to get a job at one and see if it was all true and its not! Yes some of the fish do die in the tank but that is due to an incurable disease among fish called ICH.

ok, A) their are tons of video's on RWE's cruel and inhuman ways of them treating their pets, 2) their are also a shit ton of customers who have bought sick animals from them. If you look on You tube or Peta's website (I am not a fan but they do have good videos) you will see that it is the entire organization. not just one person. It's not all PetSmart stores that go through this company. I work for a PetSmart and all of our animals are healthy and happy. So they have obviously came from a different supplier. You just need to ask them where do you get your animals from when you want to buy a pet. You should ask this at any Pet store.

You shouldn't always blame the store. PetSmart requires Veterinarians to inspect facilities and sign off on health certificates. I worked for one of the Veterinarians that did this. They have to do inspections quarterly. Maybe the "Veterinarian" needs to be questioned as well. The one I worked for signed off health certificates and never saw ANY of the animals!

how could PETA claim to be all for saving animals yet they stood by with a video camera and watched that poor bird being tortured like that? The person did try to get help for the bird. Even asked to adopt it. In one way it's very sad that the person "let" the bird die like that, but it's also a very important video to let the world see what's going on. It's a no win situation.

Actually yes it is at a petsmart it's in the back where they keep all the uncute animals hidden. My cousin once worked at a Petsmart because she wants to become involved with pet care when she's older, she quit on her second day because of the cruelty going on in the back.
