  • Thumbs up if final destination brought you here.

  • What an amazing artist. One of the most talented singer/songwriters, not to mention his incredible voice.

  • hey john denver how are you doing today john denver are you good or do you need some help today after i get off of church w/ deb riddle today see you later john denver and i will help you today john denver

  • well, america can be pretty cool sometimes

  • i am 14 and I love john Denver because my dad always had his songs playing and they grew on me

  • Beautiful..

  • to Matthijs3476, are you feeling old or something? I'm 45, a HUGE Denver fan, but a fan of music even more. If a 13, 14, 11 or a baby right out of the womb is excited to let the world know they like John Denver, why would that inspire you to write something negative about them? It should inpire you to appreciate Denver even more, that in this day in age, kids like good music like this when most like music about blood, guts and dying. Appreciate it my friend, and be positive. Music rules. :)

  • @scottthedwarf

Hi I am from Germany - John Denver R.I.P is one of the worlds best songwriters and singers. He enjoyed us with beautiful natural and loving music. I still love his music and listen to it regularely, even my kids (10 and 11 are John Denver fans) Fantastic and lovely music............. I deepest respect of J.D.

  • @Hillbillie46446 He speaks to people from many different nations. Although American by birth, he is of course of European (German) descent. He seems to have taken inspiration from many different musical streams .... he was a real talent/

  • Jezus Christ, there are so many kids commenting on this video how old they are. Apparently, the younger you are, the more badass you are if you listen to John Denver? It's great that they like John, but I seriously don't care how old you are, and that you're the only one in school that listens to this, which is total nonsense anyways.

I still have a vinyl record, I bet these children haven't ever seen a vinyl record, or bought a CD... So please, you're not special because you were just born.

  • @Matthijs3476 Excuse me??? I am of the age 14 and i listen to John Denver, i am the only one in my school who listens to it, and no i do not think i am "Badass" becasue of this? I bet there are kids who think that, but not all. I own multiple John Denver Cd's that i bought, and 1 very special vinyl that my father gave me, its very close to my heart. Just because i havent lived in that time period doesnt mean i cant appreciate the music like you, dont be iggnorant to this, Thank You

  • @JBender1497 You're not the only fucking person in school that listens to this, you only think you do. There are probably over a thousand kids in your school. Go figure. Don't get me wrong, I don't think you can't appreciate this music, I'm just sick and fucking tired of all these kids posting their age, or that same old "thumbs up if you listen to this in 2012" bullshit, it's so fucking annoying.

  • @maddieestelle23 Im a 13 year on boy in Oregon and I have a similar story. I love older music, you and me and tons of others have good taste!

  • this is the best and I'm only 11

  • @bemis010 Im proud of you kid! I wish more people were like you and me. Im 13 by the by

  • @washingtonboy09 thanks i asked my friends if they even have ever heard of this and they said no i only listen to lady gaga I'm like wow she's awful if you know what i mean

  • This might be my favorite live performance of this amazing song. Has there ever been a clearer, more pitch-perfect or melodious voice than John Denvers? I don't think so. RIP, John. We love and miss you so...

  • @maddieestelle23 There´s no such a thing like a sense for good music. People are different and listen to different music. It´s a matter of taste, not of good and bad and not of right and wrong, it depends on your personal taste. I like country, too. But it´s not the only music I like: i like Rock, Classic Rock, Nu-Metal, Ballads and even Punk. Just because of that I´m not a "poser". Just don´t judge anyone because he´s listening to other music. BTW I appreciate that you dare to be different :)

  • im never listening 2 this song before i get on a plane

  • Hmm, I expected the Rocky Mountains to be a little 'rockier' than this.

I was thinkin' the same thing

That John Denver is full of shit man

  • @maddieestelle23 I love many kinds of music....but it's beautiful for a young lady to admire some of the older music that tells the story of a much different world than we live in today. You go girl :)

  • Thanks for sharing, I sure miss him and his music!

  • I'm from Brazil and I love this song.

  • Not "Country" music - but "Western" music. We cannot forget Denver or Nesmith.

  • 15 dislikes you are a joke.

  • Best Country song I ever heard...

  • Good Country song... I remember Plane Crash, Flight 180 and Final Destination (2000).

  • Saw John in Ft Wayne Indiana in 1980. Great Great memories. We have his music in Killarney every day where i live sing and play golf Mike

  • @maddieestelle23 I agree, unfortunately I live in the big city in Australia, so I'm halfway there.

  • I love GB and I don't like current USA so much but due to some films like Griswold's and some songs like this and like ''Sweet home Alabama'' and ''Country roads'' I like USA..

  • John Denver is so awesome... He's just a happy dude who wrote happy songs that somehow make you cry. He just stands there, singing his happy guitar songs... All the sensationalized music these days doesn't even compare to the emotional response here. :)

  • yo la oii en destiino fiinal

  • HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHHAA!

  • @cyberpunk59

    YOU SUCK !!!

  • @maddieestelle23 for me it's the same, but I listen old rock to,

with us, the real music will never disappear

  • bever saw him or elvise. but it was big fans while they were alive

  • @maddieestelle23

    Many blessings

  • i heard that everyone that listen to this song dies hahahahaha

  • @heliocbairros it's better to die happy than live sad

  • *cough* final destination *cough*

  • the movie suck,

  • I dont like much country music, but John Denver is awsome!!!

  • @maddieestelle23 I'm in Phoenix, AZ and I've listened to Country since the 80's and like you am saddened at what we consider country today. It makes me a bit hopeful that some REAL country will survive when I see that a younger generation person still has an appreciation and love for true country! WIllie, Johnny Cash, John Denver, Patsy Cline, Conway Twitty...Let's keep country well country!

  • Beautiful, so beautiful...

  • this song bring me so much sweet memories

  • @maddieestelle23 I'm with you all the way.

  • My dad was his pilot on some of these tours...makes the music special...my dad died in a plane crash in 1985...John was at his funeral...so sad...they were both too young to die...

  • I thought the Rocky mountains would be a little rockier than this...

  • john denver's songs brings me so much memories :')

  • Memories....good ol memories...

  • @maddieestelle23 nice I also like shooting and hunting.

  • @maddieestelle23 Thanks i listened to johnny cash he's good but JD is still my fav. Before i was a city person and my dad was a country person but now i agree with him. Screw the city it sucks like hell along with its crappy music and sports. Oh and also do you like outdoor sports? Because i like fishing.

  • bellissima!!!

  • @maddieestelle23 Wow someone else listens to Chris Ledoux?!? He rocks!

  • Gracias Jhon Denver desde lo más profundo de mi corazón por los bellos momentos que en esa época viví y que con tu música serán inolvidables hasta el día que yo muera

  • @maddieestelle23 I have a question. I just became intrested in country music a lot. Do you think johnny cash is a good country singer?

  • All these people saying John Denver was country music...please...He had a couple songs that had the ring of country stories but Country he was not...John was a Folk singer a lot like a Non-Political Bob Dylan with a much better voice...Now I like Bob Dylan, but John's voice is much better...Hank Williams, Johnny Cash, Merle Haggard, Willie Nelson & Waylon Jennings are country...

  • JD walking mountains, great...

  • @thecaptaingoatbeard7 you suck balls

  • John Denver is a legend! He is one of the kind in country music! Love his music! :)

  • Beautiful, adding a trip to the Rockies to my Bucket List!

  • @sxr951 You never went to one of his concerts.

  • John Denver Was A Great Man And He Killed By A Plane Accident RIP John Denver I Love Your Music

  • I loved his music and i never tired of listening on them...R.I.P. Mr. John Denver.

  • was he an alcoholic? so am i. whats bad about that? alcohol comes from the earth, it is not synthetic.

  • @theratfarmer mercury comes from the earth too. it will kill you. your point is invalid.

  • Too bad he was an alcoholic.

  • *resists urge to comment dislike button*

Sorry I can't hold back! lmao

12 people couldn't get their rocky mountain high! *Ba dum ching!*

  • Great Tune...brings back god time memories....

  • was this song about his own death? a lot say yes.

  • such a great song from such a great man

  • Awe! R.I.P. John..

  • See

    Beamer Country Roads

John Denver would be proud of this 8 year old determined to carry on the tradiotion of country music

  • @1967mustanggta This isn't Country music, it's Folk music. There is a difference. Folk music celebrates life and its pitfalls. Country music mourns the pitfalls, and spends a LOT of time doing that! Folk music is largely upbeat, while Country music is largely depressing. If anything, Folk music is a sub-genre of Country music, but the two were once very separate and distinct entities.

  • @oldfart269 I understand - but does it matter? I'm not out to define music - I'm celebrating a young upcoming talent. John Denver's first song "I'm Leaving On a Jet Plane" isn't really up beat. Does it matter? Bob Dylan was slammed for picking up an electric guitar.

John Denver was very happy to be hitting it on the pop charts in the 70's - is Annie folk?

Know what you're saying - But that's not the point here.

  • @1967mustanggta Upbeat to me is more than just a fast beat count, it also considers a positive outcome, which "Leaving on a Jet Plane" certainly has at the end (When I come back, I'll wear your wedding ring). If you're not out to define music, why take issue with another person's POV?

  • @oldfart269 What the hell is your point - I think you are a smug do nothing who argues nothing for nothing. You know what - who cares - right? who cares! You took issue originally over a line I posted to celebrate the efforts of a young boy doing a pretty good job of singing and playing a guitar. And doing a song a lot of us like. And leave it to some to use this as a launching pad for their aleged intellectual superiority on a subject that means squat. Give it a rest.

  • @oldfart269 You are incorrect on you're assessment of John Denver. He himself said that he loved Country and Western Music as a child so he carried the tradition of Western music in his songs. To suggest he wasn't a country singer might fly in the face of the fact he won the AMA award for Best Male Country Artist in 1976. I've grown up all my life singing and playing John Denver - got it from my dad.

  • @mercmark7 Every POV has its detractors, to say the least. Did the AMA have a "Best Male Folk Artist" award? Highly unlikely. Regarding what I said above, "That's my story and I'm stickin' to it.

  • @oldfart269 This is your postion - You already know it all. You can not be told a thing - youjust said it. I know people like you and they don't have friends. What is Peter Paul and Mary? What is I dig Rock N Roll Music? If there is no award for Folk artists it is because they don't want a room full of arguing fruit loops "defining" what the hell it is they are voting on. What is Folk? This crap existed before I was born. Before John Denver ever had a hit. Who cares.

  • @1967mustanggta " room full of arguing fruit loops "defining" what the hell it is they are voting on."

LMAO .. the funniest thng I have read on the net in a long time. ... well said LOL

  • @wonsworld - All I wanted was to invite people who enjoy good music to see a talented 8 year old sing and play Country Roads.

    Check out

    "Beamer Country Roads"

    Great kid.

Thanks. Have a great week end

  • Takes me back to simpler times. It was great growing up in the U.S. So much has changed around that it's never gonna be this way again. Classic John Denver with the glasses and hair. RIP, such a shame he left so early.

  • He was a supremely talented entertainer & a wonderful human being.

  • A truely beautiful song for a wonderful man who truely cared about us, our animals, our world, and bringing us some of the most memorable music the world will ever know.....I hope we can all help to make good the hopes and dreams he had for all of us and our planet.

  • @llongoria0 I think it means that he'd found his place in the world when, at 27, he first moved to Colorado. He was reborn, so to speak....

  • I love the album version but find some of the chorals on the chorus a bit too intrusive.

  • John Denver is an inspirational man

  • 'During the 1980s, he [John Denver] was a critic of the Reagan Administration's environmental and defense spending policies, advocated unilateral disarmament of the United States, and opposed free-market economics.[2] His outrage at the conservative politics of the 1980s was expressed in his autobiographical folk-rock ballad "Let Us Begin (What Are We Making Weapons For)". Denver was also critical of the Republican-dominated Congress and American Conservatism of the 1990s. '

  • @biffenheimer stop being so pedantic

  • John Denver is one of the most successful and best loved recording artists of the 20th century. His easy going manner, fine voice, superb songwriting and dedication to environmental issues all combined to build a huge global fanbase that has continued to grow since his untimely death in a plane crash in 1997 ..

John Denver is a love and passion of mine
