  • Very interesting!

  • In Japanese Archery (Kyudo) some arrows are "blunts" (as in some whistling arrows or arrows used in ceremony). I'm just guessing, but I saw another video of a gal in this group, shooting at heavy rugs, and a tutorial with what looked like a blunt arrow.

  • The bow is not completely tight, wasted most of the power of the weapon and the effort is less. That's not really shooting.

  • @gtauste Watch closely, the guy in front is pulling back to the cheek, but releasing the moment it gets there. Hard to see when it's moving so fast.

  • Stupid!!!!!!!

  • so im guessing they dont pull the string they pullback with the arrow

  • Just a question, but what poundage are they actully pulling?

  • @LarzPhoenix3 naked - 40 pounds, dressed - 30-35

  • @LarzPhoenix3 Very low. This would be have been used in mass in siege warfare to slow an incoming charge. In war it is often better to injure than to kill.

  • Dont get it ???

why would some one shoot like this ???

  • @erihama In a combat situation, you don't have time to perform a little ritual, but you have to fire off quickly and with precision. Not practical today since we have automatic firearms but way back when, an archer was useless without speed.

  • @lozoft9 Retired US Marine here, They are putting arrows down range as accurate and quickly as an assault rifle can be shot accurately. Seeing this makes understand why the Army had a difficult time with the American Indians.

  • @erihama I added a video response. For such a show.

  • @erihama This would be have been used in mass in siege warfare to slow an incoming charge. In war it is often better to injure than to kill. We are talking hundreds of the fuckers. Ouch.

  • Try it with a full draw you can hear the arrows hitting the ground mean this is probably not an effective technique accept for show shooting or maybe the movies.

  • @tryingnot Interesting logic. How the sound of falling arrows associated with the efficiency of this technique?

  • @SeregedelReal IT would seem there is not enough force behind the arrow to make it affective for hunting or even sport since the arrows must remain in the target to count . Other videos of your show the arrows bouncing off or falling out of the target. Perhaps it is a light weight bow or the fact that you are only getting about half of the draw length.

  • @tryingnot You stupid or blind? Arrowheads of felt.

  • @SeregedelReal

Hahaha.... Don't care about that! One of these "I never tried, never seen, but I know it better" guys!

This is a very effectiv way to shoot, when it is well controlled. RESPECT!!!

  • @SeregedelReal

    His name says everything: TRYING_NOT < :-D

  • I will practise at this. It is the first time I see this technique, and I have to say I'm intrigued.

    Greetings from Belgium.

    спасибо

  • @NaxTactical good luck!

  • @SeregedelReal Thank you, I am sure it is more difficult than it looks!

  • @NaxTactical See my lecture, maybe it will help))) all very simple

  • This is totally new to me. I'm going to practise this at my archery club.
