I haven't seen the movie - yet,

so can anyone tell me why Jet Li only defends himself in the beginning? Doesn't he want to fight the other guy?

And what's with the crowd? They look shocked and disappointed, as if they expected more from Jet...

But later on, they of course get what they paid for (to put it like that). I mean, he's amazing, I'm stunned!:)

in this film jet's girlfriend is japanese,and in jing wu chinese don't want japanese, and the other guy(chin siu hou)said to jet that he would fought him,if jet had won he would decided what to do:if go away with his girlfriend or to become the leader of jing wu,if chin siu hou had won jet li should have left his girlfriend and rest to jing wu(name of the school).in the beginning jet li doesn't attack because the other guy is a friend to him(in the film)but in the end................
