One small niggle. In the mic cable example of how to do it right, the loose female end is falling through the loops. Had it simply been connected to the male, outside the loops, it would keep it from tying itself in knots.
And, it really didn't look as if the lavalier cable was being coiled over/under. It may have been, but it didn't appear that way.
Whoever came up with this should check out Stage Ninja Autowind XLR's. We've 12 in our studio and they pretty much rule.
