@Clarkent - I've changed my range of motion on a lot of my exercises, this one included. These days the weight is dropped a fair bit and done to full extension.
training it this way will make your bicep will look 'connected' to your shoulder. if you want a gap between the shoulder and the bicep and a nice peak in the bicep you should do the lower part of the range of motion

why only the top half of the range of motion?
