  • the 2005-2011 Hyundai Accent/ Hyundai Accent Era/ Hyundai Brio/

Hyundai Avega/ Hyundai Verna/ Beijing-Hyundai Accent/ Dodge Attitude was assembled in

    İzmit, Turkey

    Ulsan, South Korea

    Beijing, China

    Chennai, India

    Makati City, Philippines

  • great car, great value

  • i got a 2010 hyundai accent and i love it

  • you dont get 6 airbags with the basic model, but hey, you get this backseat armrest!

    lol wtff

  • For under 10K, you can drive it. Absolutely not a bad drive at all. The world is getting to the point where you don't really need more than this car. You can drive it worry free for 5 years.

  • I think they're too quiet.

I own a 2001 Accent, and that actually has some noise to it, which I really like. You can hear the road and hear your engine, I have no clue why people want to block that out so badly.

  • Not any more U laggard

Update your head, the pace of every Korean tech' is literally breath taking,,

Your head is swimming in the 5~10, to 10~20 years ago image ?

Like most fanatic Japs desperately want to hold.. on their by-gone Era..

  • @elam7batura: you really are a complete idiot as BMW is German not Japanese.

  • what should i but, the accent or the gen coupe

  • @bug94599 The accent seems like a decent enough car to get around.

  • I bought myself a 2010 Accent back in July and I absolutely love it!

  • What a bunch of idiots on this board. The car looks better than most cars. I just bought the car and it is great. I used to drive a high end sports car, yet this car drives BETTER. It is zippy and fun to drive. It doesn't make ANY noise while driving. The whole thing is great. I get 32 mpg combined. The clutch is very light and easy to push. It has EVERYTHING you need even the base model. You can buy a stereo at walmart for 80 bucks that is ready to be popped in and sounds great.

  • @1dgg9h4dr6ppp8 I have two hyundai vehicals, the sante fe and elantra. Never had one problem in the two years i have had them. The hyundai in not a gimmic, Just a great car for the cash.

  • This car is so ugly!

and it has no soul, and it seems like every person who drives one can't maintain a steady speed.

It may be cheap! but that should tell you something....

With so many great cars, there is no excuse to buy such a dreadful car!

  • @blackhawk170 If you want soul buy a Kia XD hahahaha dumbass

  • @lilromeo66 :Well as I have a BMW M3...at least I have taste, and a car which won't depreciate faster than any other car. Both Kia and Hyundai are almost as bad as American cars.

  • @blackhawk170 Spoken like a true snob: Bash a reliable, popular car AND make sure to mention you own a BMW immediately. Keeping it classy

  • @blackhawk170 Dreadful? I mean there are SOOOO many good lookers out there like the ...er... Cube? Rouge? Xb (if you like toaster boxes)? Aveo (Daewoo)?

And, calling a car crap because you think the average driver of these can't "maintain a steady speed" is pretty ignorant...

  • My second post about this car. Now at 81,000km and not one problem yet, nothing, nada, zero. Still same brakes also.

  • worst car I ever buy and sell

    dont buy it.

  • That's cause Canadians are too drunk & addicted to hockey, so they'll crash their Hyundai's more offten ^_^ (No, I'm not Racist, I mean, MY FATHER IS CANADIAN)

  • OK I bought a new 08 Accent, and it would tell you more about my life than the car if I told you that this is the finest car I have ever driven. I just don't like cars. I like big trucks, Freightliners, Peterbuilts. I like big trucks and little cars. This car feels right and drives great. I am thinking about trading it in on a new one with more options.

  • i love my 09 accent gs, i can fit 3 friend very comfortable and can fill the gas tank with 25 dollars. very good gas milage, just tint the windows and the car looks alot better. and guess what my montly payment is only 170 monthly by the way i am a college student and it is perfect for me! what a bargain. oh and get the 5 speed manual the clutch is very friendly!

  • It is an Ok car. Here in New Zealand they are expensive and not the best value.

  • Comment removed

  • In New Zealand this car retails for so much more than in the USA or Canada. Moreover, over here it is VERY much a top model in terms of price.

  • @ladyyuna2000 Ha I just got one in December for college. It's not too bad. And it's cheap!

  • Exactly what i need..I'm fresh out of college and broke as fuck!

  • Wow, only 5 year 100,000 km warranty? Here in the USA Hyundai gives a 10 year 100,000 mile (160,934 km) warranty. Looks like Canada got shafted!

  • I know! I wish that my accent had the american warranty!

  • i just bought a base model green hatchback...its a cool little car, although mine didnt come with a leather grip or a 110 horse engine. Pretty good for a first car tho!

  • wow i didn't think it would be that awesome! asides from the durability of the plastic.

  • Just hit 56,000 on my '07 SE and have had only one issue ... the brake light switch failed at the pedal and it was replaced under warranty in a 30 minute trip to the dealership. Still on the original brakes, even!

  • I think 6 airbags are standard now...just wish ABS was, by the time you upgrade to the SE to get the ABS, your in base Elantra range and its standard in that car. I like both cars, The Elantra got a good rating in Consumer Reports too.. and the crash test was a little better.

  • Rockin' my 07 Accent GS HB. Charcoal gray. Black interior (which I highly recommend). I love it.

  • Sorry if you cheap out you don't get 6 airbags, but hey check out this swell backseat cupholder!!

  • @djnormal This zionist really put lipstick on a pig this time. Great stitched steering wheel! I'm sold!

  • I've rolled 46,000 on my '07 Accent SE and it's performed flawlessly so far! The plastic on the lower door panels scratches and marks very easily ... too easy. The belt buckle and fingernails leave nasty marks that remind me of the plastic interior of a 70's GM vehicle. Otherwise, great car!

  • i'm thinking of buying an Accent. how's the winter driving? my sons will be driving it.. new drivers.

  • @melanie1965

please tell me you didnt get one of these pises of junk, ive had my 08 se hatchback and its the bigest pice of crap i ever owned! and there so called ''warrinties''? they dont stand by ANY of there ''warrinties'' at all...its just something to get you to feal better about buying there junk, i dont even have room to tell you all the problems i had, AND had to fix all of them my self becouse hyundai alwase points the finger at anything they can other than the fact they are pure junk.

  • I own a '09 SE, and its the BEST car I've ever owned. Not so much as one creak or a rattle. Never been to the shop at all in the first year. But I take care of my cars, including scheduled maintenance. I would bet money on the fact that you don't take care of your car....and then blame the car. Because unless your Service Center is run by crooks, they need something to "point the finger at" to deny a warranty claim . Contact Hyundai directly, if you followed the manual and got denied.

  • @hako2004

i do take care of the thing, i have a service contract and do everything i should. the only thing i can think of is i got a lemon. example, the check engine light came on about a year ago and took it to the dealer, they said the o2 sensor had went out becouse i was useing fuel lower then 87. i have never in my life seen any fuel lower then 87...so i had them put one in and about 7 months later same thing, so went to auto zone got a $11 replacement and never had it happen since.

  • and that's still better than a KIA (ha,ha)

  • hyundai is part of KIA, just like a GMC and a chev,. they make most of the parts for kia,

  • good car my version of 2001 never damage!

    very good car!

  • I have an Automatic 2007 SE which gets 26 mpg city/31 Highway. I don't know how he could say good things about the plastic interior.

The plastic sucks; Scratches easy from the seatbelt slapping back on release even my plastic cloths hamper scratched it also the 16 inch aluminum rims bend easy over pot holes and scratch and chip through the car wash at $270 per rim; the 205/45/16 tire makes it handle great but arent worth it.

  • If you want more than plastic, then you will have to pay much more. There is no way to make it cost effective. He is right about the interior, it is very well done. Look at all of Europe's entry models. They ALL have plastic interiors. Heck, some of their top models make extensive use of plastic. As for the slapping of the seatbelts? I NEVER let that happen. I hold it and guide it back. I treat my Accent like a Bentley. Also, put a blanket over your seats for your hamper. AVOID POTHOLES.

  • I didnt say that the interior was unattractive; I said the plastic is cheap as in durability.

The plastic comparison was of hamper verses the cars. The hamper is placed in the hatch area not on the seat and as for not letting the seat belt slap back; try explaining it to my teenager over and over Id love to avoid potholes but unfortunately Maine roads are becoming nothing more than frost heaves and potholes.

  • are there any 4 door hatchbaks?

  • Yes, it is called the Hyundia Getz but it is not in the US or Cananda.

  • What a great looking hatch. I love that lime green color. I havn't seen one in yellow yet, but am curious what it looks like in reality. If it had better safety and side airbags standard in the GS I'd be really interested in one for my next car.

  • i have a 2008, tango red. as of this year, they are ALL equipped with 6 airbags.

  • I getting an SE, and I'm leaning toward Tango Red as well. I thought the Mellow Yellow would be cool, but it looks a little too much like butter. The Ebony looks pretty slick too.

  • I saw a yellow one the other day. It was dirty and the car's color looked HORRIBLE with dirt on it. Get the Tango. I have WHITE Volk Racing TE37s on it, and i get nothing but compliments. P.S., the Accent can fit 18s in the wheelwell. I have 17's for now.

  • Thanks pointsur, I tried for the Tango, but the dealer couldn't find an SE in that color....with a 5 speed anyway. He called all over California. So, I have an SE in Ebony with black interior.... and I love it. The 16" alloys look pretty nice, and so do the fog-lamps. The B&M short-shifter makes shifting a lot of fun. Amazing little car.

  • hehehe...... best car i have ever had. two years now and not a problem. incase you are wondering how quick this beast is,i raced a mazda3 five speed twice from stop. hyundai won both times. who else wants to call it a cheap economy car? LOL

  • If you're telling the truth, that is really embarrassing for the Mazda, since beside the fact it's a heck of a lot more expensive, it's supposed to be a high-end sporty economy car. Accents are great!

  • oh yeahh this car is great but ny aunt has the 4 door Version in green color !!!

    And its a great car.

    I love it

  • i just got an ice blue XD, teehee i feel so gay drving my small car lmao

  • haha fuck yeah!......i got the green one!

    =]

  • The 2007 accent is a great car!! i own one ..i have the diesel CRDI one ...its a rocket!!
