  • Didnt enjoy it. Overproduced and minimal plot

  • its cool..i like it

  • THIS IS GREAT WORK CHECK OUT Y VIDEOS

  • weird

  • wow, another American film about controlling men, and a woman dies at the end. geeze

  • uh-mazin!

  • opios theli as episkeuthi ti selida pou eftiaksa sto facebook

tha to bri me to onoma

    the 48 hour film project

  • you didn't upload this in HD?? your vimeo says it's PRIVATE on their... I'm on there too

  • hey did this win any awards?

  • 1st crazy guy in black shirt looks just like Tom Cruise

  • What editing software do you use?

  • this is brilliant !!

  • i love it

  • Marry me! lol

  • what kind of microphone did you use in this video?

  • haha sounds like voice overs man

  • @pacmanlegend

yea, now that I watch this again, I think you may be right.

  • we are seing alot of each other lately mr sonic baller. U stalkin me? lol

  • lol um. I don't recall.

  • wow that was awesome!

  • Really good film. The acting was a little sub-par in a few of the scenes, but for the most part it looked professional. Big thumbs up.

  • Quite good given the time constraints and resources. 8/10

  • interesting....awesome job on production though, and for 48 hours..i gotta hand i to you. keep up the good work.

  • You guys kept the acting at a default level. Not bad, but not all that good either. The FX u did was probuably with After effects. I seen some distortion, particular (for the meteor), and whole lot of color correction in there. I loved it!

What sold it for every body I think was the audio. You did such a excellent job with the audio and the camera movements and angles that it allmost seemed professional on a low budget si-fi level. Imagine if u had more time and Action essentials 2.

  • wow that was excellent for 48 hrs!! Good Job

  • Great film. I can't believe you managed do all that in 48 hrs. There were issues here and there, but no single aspect was consistently problematic. The acting was off here and there, but mostly amazing. Same with the dialogue. The required elements were all marvelously incorporated. I would never have guessed any of them. I'm guessing it would have been 10 times better with more time to devote.

  • Great special effects!

  • how did your video go in the competition?

  • Fantastic job! I'm going to be participating in a 48hfp this July and I plan to use an HV20 as well. What editing software did you use for post?

  • bitch u kicked my alien balls lol

  • o no the scary fast ginger boy. run girl run.

  • I love what you've done considering you only used a Canon HV20 and 30. Impressive.

  • I don't get it.

  • This is not bad at all, considering you did it all in 48 hours. I have paid to watch things infinitely worse with less of a story, worse acting and far less enjoyable (the happening, the wicker man, etc). I just got am HG20 and i am hoping to get similar results, Great job.

  • Really nice, even if the sound is kind of weird, it seem to have been all remade in postprod with the mic stick at 1 inch of their mouth...

  • Very good! GR77 of Alberta Canada

  • I'm just not getting most of these sci-fi plots gosh darn it. The sound stands out. It was done very well. I'm curious as to how exactly. Great job. The color contrast and lighting were awesome as well. Lots of good things about this video.

  • you guys do GREAT SOUND for sure ;)

  • really well shot....bit depressing mind other than that a really nice job.

  • that sucked, bad acting,i would think u could get better quality out of that kind of camera also

  • it was filmed in 48 hours and youtube destroys quality

this is good, especially since EVERYTHING was done in 2 days.

  • I concur, good job in 48 hours. Given a longer time scale I'd love to see what you could achieve.

  • well done;)

  • excellent work bro. Im getting the HV20.

  • Wow, excellent work.

I'll be passing this on to my friends.

Tell me you won the challenge!

By the way, only a few suggestions - when you show the girl and her boyfriend in the bedroom in the beginning, you stop the sound of the rain for the dialogue - should have kept it going.

I would frame some of your shots just a little bit tighter, too, you have a lot of negative space.

BUT! Lighting, colour, technique, plot, SFX, actors - all amazing.

    A+.

You're making us short film makers look good.

  • really really good!!!

    what did you edit on..

and did you have any adapters or filters on your hv20?

  • The girl can act, the rest of the actors are terrible. As far as the plot... i gave it a -D.

  • I can't believe this was made in 48 hours!

    Impressive.

  • is this with the HV20? what camera is that?

  • ok, ummm... first off, really nice and well put together, filming tips. work more to get the best camera angles, it doesn't matter if it has to take you 50 takes, keep being creative, you gotta go for the best. for the color, reduce the brightness a bit, kinda get's annoying, I'd say, make it 50% darker than it is right now.

really good work though. I am going to subscribe to you. subscribe me too.

  • Looks fantastic!

What lens or lenses did you use to shoot?

  • Excellent! An alien infatuated with a human. You flipped the script! It's usually humans infatuated with aliens.

One thing is the video does seem a bit lackluster...Maybe it's YouTube. Kind of "college-esque." But given the fact u had on 24 hours to shoot it... Balance between wide and tight (shallow depth) is the key I think.

If you shot this on RED it would have rave reviews. Not that HV20 sucks but...

  • it looks good congradulation!!!!!!!!

  • HV20.

  • this doesn't look like a movie to me

  • what does it look like then?

  • like a home made video

  • ok....

  • Look like a film to me :)

  • Look´s like a videoclip visual.. more "closes" and more light, more shadows and be a great short movie.

Maybe more fast scenes look´s better too.

The visual of your film not are amateur. I like it.

Sorry for my english, i am brazilian!!! :P

  • don't crush yourself, half of us in the US cant speak English. good advice

  • we just finished the 48 hr film project in my town and after watching this, all I gotta say is wow! someday I hope to learn how to use those kind of effects

  • I think some audio dialogs were done in POST. I have that feeling as a experienced digital musician. Did you use the Rode all the time when you were shooting?

The brevis looks amazing. Watch out with greyish kind of shots like the clouds. The adapter tends to make it blurry and greyish. Seen it in hunderds of adapters videos here.

  • wow. that was really good. what city do ya'll repersent? very original.

way better scifi than the one entered in my town!!

  • Your film looks great!

It might be one of the best looking films that I have seen for the 48 hour film project. We just finished one for Seattle's 2008 challenge...it was most definitely a great experience. Please tell me that you won some awards!

  • This is one of the best directed short films i've ever seen!

And HV30 is a really good camocoder, I've just got mine ;)

  • very well done especially considering you only had two days. Reminds me of something that would be a scifi channel original... but with less crappy special effects

  • This was awesome!! Hope ours turns out good for the Aug 8th project.

  • GREAT job. Especially on the footage and effects; looks amazing. What kind of lighting did you use? Did you use any kind of lense adapters?

  • Well done and very creepy!

  • AWESOME!! what microphone did you use??

  • Thanks! I used the Rhode NTG-2. Used to have the AudioTechnica AT897, but didn't give a hot enough signal.

  • amaizing! Congrat!

  • bravo man! do you edit on final cut?

  • Sony Vegas

  • well played, clerk

  • well done

  • wow awesome

  • oh solomon that was awesome!

  • good ish

  • hehe.. I liked it!
