The cover is really beautiful as is the album. Nice to see so much attention to detail for the physical side of the product. Long live the Physical Side of the Product!!! Wonderful that they made this film to share it with everyone.
It's a beautiful thing to see so much care go into the making of an album cover. It shows due respect to the music it contains, for the artists involved and for the craftspeople who get to share their craft with a wider audience. Wonderful stuff!
I'm also a Graphic Artist of pre-digital and also digital.
The cover could have been proofed without going to the press. To make the plates they needed to make film and the film could have been easily proofed and everything checked from the proof. Mockups could have also been made from the proofs to see everything in context.
Gillian next time you need a print job managed or design please call on me :) Looking forward to seeing the final job.
Me too - I've got some Jamaican Blue Mountain just waiting for this job!
The album has really grown on me, by the way, and now the David Rawlings Machine one has come hot on its heels - what can I say? These guys are the real deal indeed. Thank you.
glad I watched this, made me pull the insert out of the CD case to have a closer look...nice job !
I'm keepin the insert out to display it as the artwork it is and since I've worked with fiber, paper and wood all my life, I can see that coffee / tea stain on this would make a difference. So, in the spirit of art and play I'll be dunking mine one of these days.
reminds me of when art on album covers was a really cool part of music
Just like their music, the word is "QUALITY". You can truly appreciate the thought and work that went into this. Everything is free but this can't be downloaded, so buy yours today. I have purchased all their CD's because I want to support artists I love so they will keep blessing us with great music. Thanks again for all the great music.

I wouldn't have wood mounted the back cover plate that has the 6pt type. wood is notoriously inaccurate dimensionally. metal mount would be best.

After watching this video, I will invest some more time to really listen to this album and actually go out and buy it as well.

Nice story and works well for the GW DR brand but spoilt by stating the bleeding obvious about their integrity etc at the end.
