have you tried firing the Compact 600R using a pocket wizard? that is the main issue i had with the XT was when the voltage dips below 100V the Pocket Wizard resets and I could not fire again with the pocket wizard on my camera but pushing buttons is fine on the monoblock.

this is due to interference between the unit and the trigger device. can you try other trigger device? some brands work with the system.
